I'll present my review of this place below, but first I would like to talk about the reaction triggered by my review on Booking.com. ||The receptionist called me several times the following morning and, after I answered, he started speaking in Korean (probably swearing at me). He kept calling, so I had to block his telephone number.||He also posted my review on his Facebook page and threatened that I would be made famous. He further replied on Booking.com that I should fix my brain (and this is putting it mildly because Tripadvisor won’t allow me to post the receptionist’s insults).||I wish I could attach the photos that prove what I’ve said above, but Tripadvisor’s policy is preventing me from doing so.||I never replied (because, to be honest, what can you reply to a person like this?!), I just contacted the people at Booking.com, who investigated and took care of the issue.||Below is my review of this place:||||PROs: The only thing I liked is that we could store our luggage at the reception on our last day.||They provide cheap toiletries.||Quite close to the subway.||||CONs: My husband and I have traveled quite a lot and we prefer guesthouses to hotels for the cozy feeling, but honestly, this is one of the worst places we've EVER seen.||First of all, it was quite difficult to find at night. We arrived around midnight and I had a cold, so this is the reason why we didn't change the guesthouse, although we hated it.||It was incredibly dirty and cold, totally different from what we'd read before booking.||The guy in charge (the receptionist) had left us the access card at the reception, but he forgot to tell us how to make the air conditioning work all night (this is the only way we could heat the room, as there was no heater). The air conditioning stopped working during the night and it was freezing at the beginning of December. The fact that the windows didn’t shut properly didn’t help either.||The reception opens at 11:00 am, so if you have any problem, you're on your own.||The "breakfast" consists only of cereals, milk, instant coffee and juice and you have to wash your own dishes.||One morning, there was no breakfast at 8:00 am, although you could supposedly have it between 8.00 and 10.00 am.||The receptionist was way too loud (and, as I learned later, a total bully).||There was MOLD in our room (see attached photos)! ||The guesthouse looks ok in the lobby, but our room was horrible. ||The bathroom got all wet when we took a shower. ||I don't think they have ever washed the room windows - they were full of mud. As mentioned above, the windows do not shut properly, so we could hear every sound from the street and feel freezing air entering the room. Absolutely awful! ||The room is very small. ||The bed sheets were dirty and there was other people's hair everywhere. The pillows were stained. ||This place needs to be renovated as soon as possible. Either that or shut down this guesthouse ASAP!||||I hope that things have improved in the meantime, but I really wouldn’t...
Read moreYou get what you pay for, and this is a cheap option. However the mould and filth in the rooms is not something anyone would expect in any place while travelling - it is a health hazard, specially for an asthmatic person staying in that room. Also, there was an infestation of mosquitoes in the room too, which made our 1 night very unpleasant. Even when using repellent , we still got bitten quite badly. We checked out 2 nights earlier than planned. If you happen to get a room facing the street, expect a lot of noise and cold air, as the windows are leaky. The spring mattress is not great ( you can feel the springs) but the dirt and state of the room was by far our biggest disappointment. When we informed the reception staff about it - we were invited to leave paying only one night and getting a reimburse through booking for the other 2 nights (there was no effort to try help the issues we were having). 2 days later, we receive an email from booking telling us the owner has refused to reimburse anything. Not trustworthy, we feel completely disappointed with our experience in this hostel and would not recommend it to anyone who expects some decency, specially from the...
Read moreWe knew it was basic but this was basic AND tiny. So difficult with two people and two suitcases (not even that big) but that barely fit in the room. ||When we arrived the guy at the desk was deep asleep and we did try several times to wake him up. We left our cases and then came back hours later to a closed desk (despite the desk hours being 8am-11pm) and no one was there. Instead a note was left on the front desk (along with 4 others) saying me name, what room were in and the password to the room. Couldn't help but feel that was a bit of a privacy issue. ||Again, room was tiny and shower is difficult when it doesn't have a stand and you literally are touching the toilet as you shower. ||Then on check out there was also no one there, again, we were there within the opening hours. Just thought it was very shoddy service and with non...
