Authentic hanok experience in great, convenient area of Seoul. Markets just down the main road, and lots of coffee shops in side streets. Gyeongbokgung Palace is only a couple of blocks away, and it's not far from one entry point to the fortress wall walk. ||||The hanok itself was a little hard to find despite the helpful map provided; I also did not nominate what time we might arrive so turned up with luggage to find no-one there to let us in. Own fault - lesson learnt!||||The owner suggested we upgrade to a larger room to the one first booked, and it was good advice. Its a beautiful traditional old Hanok, and sadly there arent many left, so it is very much an authentic Korean experience. And it is right next to the Royal Palace and Gwangnaman Square, in the middle of Seojon, a really sweet part of town - lots of cute cafes and restaurants, unlike some of the brasher parts like Gangnam and Incheon.||The guesthouse itself is really sweet. She made breakfast in a timely fashion and even set us up with sandwiches when we checked out early. ||There were 3 of us and we stayed in their family room and the private shower and shared living room turned out great for feeling of extra space.||I highly recommend this...
