Amazing stay, wonderful service, great location Short version: Perfect stay from start to finish. Everything according to description and better. Top level service in every area. Absolutely recommend a stay! Arrival/Check in: Warm and smiling welcome from the bell boy and frontdesk. Everything for the check in was perfectly prepared and we startet the stay with a glass of Cava while finishing formalities. Hotel/Room: Even though it's a big hotel, the division into 5 different areas and the fact of usually max. 3 floors makes it light and open. Everything you read on the hotel website is actually true, so I spare you the details. Restaurant reviews further down. We had a Seaview Suite which spans over two floors. Haven't seen the other rooms, but ours was also exactly as described. Pool: There are 3 pools. 2 with a beautiful view to the sea, nice pool bar with drinks and snacks, plenty of chairs. There is also a pool for the smallest. The 3rd pool is more quiet but also offers a bar and snack service. Restaurants/Bar: The quality and service in the main restaurant is good and efficient. Breakfast is rich and offers any kind of food, service always on point and friendly. Dinner also offers a wide selection of food, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Three a la carte restaurants: Portofino offers Italian style cuisine for dinner, local cuisine for lunch. Relaxed and casual option for a good dinner. Seasoul is situated at the promenade with seaview from your table. As the naming suggests offering a seafood oriented dinner. Nice, relaxed, stylish. Poseidon is the gem of the three restaurants. Top level cuisine, exclusive selection of wines, top notch service. Really an amazing experience! Employees/Sustainability: In our one week stay all employees went out of their way to make the stay perfect, solve any question swiftly or simply go the extra mile when delivering special requests. You feel, it is a truly heartfelt attitude rather than an ordered top down policy. The hotel does what is possible and can be efficiently implemented to operate sustainably: Locally sourced products, no disposable plastic anywhere, free water dispenser throughout the hotel for filtered water. Impressive to implement a strategy like this on such a scale. Would recommend a stay anytime, also great for families.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! When we stayed the clientele was a mixture of young families (like us) and more mature couples, which we thought was ideal! Lots of common ground and general understanding from all, great when you have a toddler. The food is fabulous and the place is SPOTLESS! Credit to the cleaners and landscapers/ground workers who do a mega job of keeping everything looking it's best - quite often the unsung heroes! The staff...well they make the experience magic. Betsi at reception was fab, Melissa and Vargas greeted us warmly everyday for breakfast and dinner. Juanita (who our toddler LOVED!!) made such an incredible effort everyday, it was so appreciated. So lovely, kind and gentle. Laura and Lorena (also absolute angels) helped us with meal times in the restaurant. Sara (our little girl was shouting for her everyday at the pool), Jhon, Marcial, Maria Jose, Yahisa, Valeria, Michel, John and Felipe (very good very nice) who all helped to make sure you were left wanting nothing at the pool. I must say, if you get chance, ask Laura to make you her special Cava Sangria - nothing like it! Andrea was exceptional too and was really kind and friendly to our little one. The service all round was phenomenal, every staff member greets you around the grounds, you feel so welcome and like nothing is too much trouble. Genuine friendliness and going beyond to make your holiday amazing. This hotel has a brilliant little kids pool and Star Club (kiddie club) where they make a huge effort to make it special. A few nice little slides too and a little play area. We actually spent most of our days at the main pool though - it was 'wade in' so our little girl just loved wading about in the shallows and jumping in off the side. The beach isn't too far away at all and is lovely, but when we took a trip down (be prepared for a few steps/slopes, pushchair friendly mostly) our little one didn't like it so much so we didn't spend too much time there. Go prepared with some shade/cover as natural shade is sparse. Planning our next trip there already!

Living in Tenerife gives me plenty of options for enjoying a quick getaway, but the Iberostar Selection Anthelia truly stands out. Last Sunday, my family and I decided to book a day pass, hoping for a relaxing day especially for my mom and her beloved grandson. Upon arrival, the reception was bustling, which initially left me a bit frustrated. However, the hotel staff was quick to adapt, efficiently increasing their reception team from 2 to 6. This quick adjustment was impressive, minimizing our wait time significantly. We were greeted by a cheerful Dutch-speaking staff member who, despite the rush, managed to make us smile with her positive energy and excellent service. The highlight of our day was definitely the lunch buffet that started at 1:00 PM. The spread was incredible, living up to the high standards of food quality and cleanliness that Iberostar hotels are known for in the Canary Islands. Our waitress, Romina, was delightful and even took the time to chat with us, making our experience feel very personal. Post-lunch, we headed to the kids club, which was a hit with my 2-year-old boy. The area was well-maintained with a soft grassy ground, perfect for little feet. He had a blast playing with the pirate ship and sliding down the slides. The club seemed well-staffed and prepared, with other parents comfortably leaving their children in the caring hands of the staff. We spent the remainder of our day at the main pool, enjoying the serene environment. Many guests lounged around, some engrossed in books borrowed from a quaint 'small library' cart that passed by. The cocktails and barraquito we ordered were refreshing, and the complimentary ice cream was a sweet surprise. Overall, our day at the Iberostar Selection Anthelia was nothing short of fantastic. It's definitely a great spot for families looking to unwind and enjoy quality time together. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a blend of relaxation and attentive service.

We are a three-generational family group (5 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 6) and as we've just returned from the Anthelia and I rely a lot on Trip Advisor reviews to help me decide where to book, it seems only fair to others for us to share our feedback.|First of all......we all loved the Anthelia and we had a wonderful week there on an A/I basis. The A/I really worked for us as a family because whereas the adults in our group love eating out and enjoying good food, the two children don't like traipsing round restaurants. As it turned out ,we were all happy as the food was simply superb, for breakfasts, lunch and evening meals. We were able to enjoy the kind and quality of food we would have hoped to get in good restaurants ( eg fresh lobster and huge king prawns on several occasions ). We had a choice of really good wines included in our A/I package ( and all the drinks in the package were good quality, not inferior brands ). We want to pay special thanks to Veronica and Nuria in the main restaurant for being so friendly, welcoming and so attentive - remembering our drinks etc. The children in our group felt very comfortable there. We noticed a member of the hotel management team was always present in the main restaurant and often round the pool area so the management must take a lot of the credit for how well the hotel works. Also, we want to praise the staff around the pool and|Alessandro in the lobby bar where we met every night for pre-dinner drinks. As many other reviewers have said....the staff everywhere are simply the best.....and this includes the wonderful and talented entertainment team who worked so hard to provide things for the children to take part in during the day and evening, and for their great shows. There are only a couple of things which could be improved...like others, we got fed up with people who put their towels down by the pool and then disappear for much of the day and also the Anthelia Mall, where some of the evening shows were held, was sometimes just too hot for comfort ( though the shows were good). The standard of the singers and musicians ( and magician ) in the lobby bar in the evening was much better than expected and better than in other hotels we've been to. Finally, the bedrooms are spacious ( though in need of refreshment in places), always immaculately clean and the adjoining two rooms with 2 bathrooms for the adults and 2 children was much appreciated. Finally, one speciality restaurant booking per week is allowed with A/I and we chose the Italian Portofino restaurant...well, I can only say that it was superb....one of the best Italian meals we've had in years! Although this family holiday cost us a lot of money as the A/I option really puts the cost up, every member of our family group had a really great time and we thought it was money well-spent. We commend the staff training at this hotel as other hotels could learn a lot from it. We also like what Iberostar offers for families - the balance is just right in being a high-class hotel with great food for the adults but also a relaxed atmosphere with lots to do for the children. Unsurprisingly I'm going to have my work cut out to find as good a hotel for us all for next year, though it may well be that we just decide to go back to the Anthelia ( which is what the children want anyway..)Thank you to all the staff.......we had such a...

My wife and I stayed at the Anthelia hotel eleven years ago. It was a wonderful experience and we were determined that we would return one day. It is the only hotel in over 40 years of travel that we have returned to. |We knew there was a risk that we would be disappointed and that it wouldn’t live up to expectations but if anything it surpassed our expectations. It is a beautiful hotel which is spread out over a huge site which looks out on to the sea. It is in an upmarket area of Costa Adeje called El Duque. The rooms are in blocks and are built in a traditional Spanish style which is very attractive. Our room had a sea view and overlooked one of the three beautiful swimming pools. Our room had been refurbished since we last stayed there and had every modern facility which you would want. Our only negative comment about the whole of our visit is that the hotel has followed the trend of other hotels by getting rid of a bath and making the bathroom/toilet an open plan area. This can be invasive of peoples privacy especially if you are sharing with a friend. We are a couple and are not fans of this type of set up as are others we have spoken to.|We were on half board as neither of us drink much alcohol and we like to get out of the hotel to try different places for lunch. The half board was excellent and in the 10 days that we were there we were never disappointed with the excellent food choice.|The grounds in the hotel are beautifully kept by the hardworking grounds staff. The grounds are well laid out with lots of shaded areas to sit and relax. The swimming pools are clean and well attended by the bar stall and waiters who work very hard to satisfy everybody’s needs. Also there are plenty of sun beds and parasols around all of the pools. |The housekeeping staff do an excellent job keeping the rooms and hotel areas Spock and span. The restaurant staff are excellent and service driven. As would be expected in such a quality hotel the Reception staff are first class.|The greatest thanks must go to the Animacion team who do an excellent job keeping every guest happy. No matter what time of the day or night they have a smile on their face. They provide excellent entertainment and activities both day and night be it sport, exercise, handicraft, childrens club and theatre entertainment. They are a real credit to the hotel. Every generation from cradle to grave is catered for. There is regular varied entertainment in the hotel’s theatre each evening and more relaxed musical entertainment in the hotel’s bar each evening. Something for everyone. If you require a change of entertainment that there are lots of local bars In Adeje or in Playa de Americas which is a 15 minute bus ride away.|It a wonderful hotel for families of all ages. It is also well situated for public transport which covers the whole of island at very cheap rates. There is a board walk which runs outside the hotel for miles along the sea front. |We hope to return again one day and maybe take our children and...

Very bad and we are angry. We were at this hotel in Covid 2020 August for 14 days. It was so nice and we love it. Now we are here for 10 days again but our experience was changed. Everything changed. At first we get a room and first night sleeped about 1-2 hours because of crying baby next to us, it can happen…. So we moved to another one but Third night we have the same problem… don’t understand why they didn’t write a note to not put families with small babies next to use cause hotel is very big and this was happened to us once. In Covid times where the pools are there was every day some Dj or some musician who played every day there for all the guest - now - nothing… And now the main things… we are here because of our small daughter (3.5 years)… the kids area with kids poll was closed for 3-4 days. Then the kids pool have about 50degrees Celsius maybe more. So we have to be there maximum for 10-20 minutes because it was very hot and cannot be there. In kids pool are splashes and in the small toboggan is splash that you can slide inside. But between 12-13 pm they turned of and they will turn on at 4pm!!!! I don’t understand why!!?? So the families which are there with small kids cannot come on the slides until 4pm because it’s turned off.. if you imagine that lots of people with babies go to the room between 4-6 pm after all day it doesn’t make a sense!… if we ask for turning on they told us it automatically do at 4pm Animators and their programs… two years ago everything goes on a plan and now: kids carpet at the pool (it was written 2 or 3 times it must be) it wasn’t once… our daughter was happy to run on the water carpet and nothing was there. At the kids area ;(star camp) was written lot of times about mini disco at 4 or 5 pm, so we wait here and there was nothing!! Just the animators inside the star camp and they dancing their own to try steps on their music for evening show in anthelia mall… why you have written you have lot of things for children if you do nothing!????…. And last thing what made me angry… barbecue restaurant in pools area. In Covid times you can go there every day and ordered what you want (in all inclusive for free) now you can go there but pay for all the food for lunch. They told us “because of the Covid” but it doesn’t make a sense. Because these things we wanna go there again because this place for us and our baby was memoriable and we enjoyed now we are disgust and enjoy when we can go home… paid for 10 days 4500€ for the hotel and it’s terrible. We are so sad that hotel which was in Covid times the best now when the Covid “isn’t” is bad… hope some manager will read this and do some things for better stay for other people who will...
