We visited in October 2025 for 7 days. We previously holidayed (past 13 years) in an all inclusive in Playa Paraiso, sadly this was renovated and became an adults only resort. We also fancied a change to a hotel closer to shops, nightlife etc as our kids are much older now and it was a very quiet area with no much to do nearby.||We opted for all inclusive and for a one bed Villa.||We were allocated Villa 810 - |The good:|* Off the beaten track so fairly quiet day and night|* Had our own cold hot tub/swirl pool and loungers, parasols etc in our garden so didn't have to do the pool should we wish|* Nice to have so much space in the Villa|* Shower pressure was amazing!|* Air Con was fantastic (so long as you keep the card in and run it 24/7)|* Safe was free (operated by your room card)||The not so good points:|* The windows were blown in the patio doors of the villa, the glass looked dirty but on closer inspection was not and was just a glazing issue.|* When we arrived we dropped our cases in and went to go for a wander, luckily I checked the patio doors on the balcony and out to the drying area as they were not locked! Seems odd that the main entry door was locked but not the other door. This was not a great start.|* The lock on the patio door to the drying area was broken and only held closed by one bolt latch. Given the kids were sleeping downstairs (luckily they are teenagers/young adults) I wasn't too keen on this security wise, this door should have been fixed properly and been more secure.|* . The cleaners were fab, they dropped the dirty towels and linen out the upstairs patio doors, but did not then lock them again. Now ! know that this is upstairs but could potentially provide an entrance to someone.|* The kids beds (sofa) were a bit worn. My oldest commented that her mattress was moulded into body shape from so much usage. She is 16 so were she smaller then likely this would impacted her less (than a smaller and lighter small child).||Please note clean towels are to be obtained from the pool lifeguard. Never seen this before, the cleaners take the dirty towels only.||Also the sprinklers come on each morning so do not leave your washing drying out overnight!||The pool area was clean, didn't open until 10am and felt quite relaxed. There was some entertainment but there was quiet time too which was nice. There are no inflatables allowed and this was policed well by the lifeguards. I was very impressed by the lifeguards, they were clear to adult and kids and took no nonsense. The lifeguards were on permanent alert and took great care in carrying out their duties. That was lovely to see, as this was an area that was lacking in our previous hotel.||The sun loungers were very comfortable and washed down daily. ||The poolside bar was very nice and well organised. We did notice quite a few folk help themselves to the food when they had no all inclusive bands which we thought was quite cheeky, there were no checks to accessing this food by the staff at the poolside bar.||The restaurant:|The good:|* Opened on time and was spotlessly clean.|* Quality of the food was good.||The not so good:|* The variety for kids I felt was lacking (compared to our previous hotel). The food felt more aimed at adults tastes.|* Some parents were lacking in parenting their children - kids picking up food, dropping food/plates and that chocolate fountain needed adult supervision. There was chocolate all over the floor at one point. The hotel did their best but I feel that was a lack of supervision from parents than something the hotel could control. The same applied to the pool side snack bar.|* The food at times was not always hot.|* The restaurant got very noisy at times and hot. If you avoid peak times this was much improved and a far nicer experience.||All in all the food was good, colder than I would have liked at times but given the amount of people it facilitates they do a cracking job.||The staff were generally friendly, the odd one who was not but we all have bad days.||We booked a picnic for the last day at reception, went to pick it up the following morning at the agreed time but we were not on the list.|The staff member did sort this out and obtain a picnic for us but were not best pleased. I felt I had done as I had been asked (booked the night before at reception before 8pm) and the admin error was not my fault but was made to feel as if I was an inconvenience. I had said not to worry these things happen and was prepared to walk away so it was not as if I was being unreasonable. The picnic itself was very nice and quite substantial.||The hotel is in an excellent location, we walked for miles. Kids loved the access to shops and we went to Siam Mall on the free bus. Lots of lovely shopping malls within close walking distance.||The evening entertainment was reasonable, some nights better than others but that ca also be personal taste. My kids were too old for kids club but from what we could see the mini disco was very popular and the entertainment team really connected with the kids, it was lovely to watch. We watched the shows from 9.15pm, the Bee Gees night was closed off part way through due to rain (it was very good) and we saw a show on Monday 20th and it was excellent. The others were ok.||The staff work extremely hard, they are always cleaning and the maintenance team we saw a lot too.||Overall we had a good stay. I think we would come back again as generally a good experience.||I would say this is more of a a 3.5 star hotel, with a few small tweaks then I would...

GF Isabel is a lovely hotel and well placed within Adeje for access to lots of local activities, such as the beach, water parks, Monkey Park and shopping centres. The local transport links are good too and we were able to travel to Los Cristianos market, Las Americas and Siam Mall by bus on individual trips for €1.45 per person each way.

Room:

We had a 1 bedroom bungalow for the duration of a week and found the room was nice, well equipped and clean. The room came with a kettle, toaster, microwave, electric hob and sink. Bathroom provided a hairdryer which wasn’t great and would take a long time to dry hair. Shower was good quality and new towels were provided daily. Bathroom was slightly dusty looking which I may have been from when it was tiled as it wasn’t wipe able. Not a huge issue but a slight negative.

The bedroom consisted of two slightly bigger single beds moved together, these are on wheels which can be a bit annoying. Built-in wardrooms had lots of space with a safe available for €14 (non-refundable). If you do take a safe then it operates on one of the room keys (not both) which you place into a card reader on the safe.

Tv available was fine if needed but rarely used. Outdoor seating was good and as our room was in a shaded area was nice later in the day to take a break from the sun. The air conditioning is very good and room was often cool, however, I’d recommend setting the temperature and turning the power down at nights as it did get cold, but better than being too hot.

Hotel Complex:

We were based close to the kids pool and main pool. The children’s pool was good and very active with families throughout the day. Towels for sun loungers are provided by the life guard at the main pool (one per person) by simply providing your room number. Loungers are first come, first serve and don’t allow reservations. You do find some will leave towels out and not show up which reduces the availability but I did see life guards removing these after a period, which was great. This mainly happened around the children’s pool.

Both pools are great, though cold salt water, with activities regularly taking place at the main pool. This consisted of aqua fit, kids inflatable island, a water carpet run and more. The main pool is busy so if you want a quieter time with your kids, then the child pool is good as it has fewer seats available.

Nightly kids disco/entertainment was very good. Lots of interaction with parents and kids. The kids club team were very good, very accommodating of all children/families and were often seen round the hotel playing pool, ping pong or games. We didn’t use this but was very much available and team seemed lovely.

Food:

Can’t comment on quality as we did not eat at the hotel but there is a local bar/eatery at the main pool with a larger dining area at the front of the hotel by the gym.

Gym:

Again, did not use this facility but gym looked to be well equipped.

Shops:

We found three shops in the hotel. One just outside the reception as you make your way to the main hotel area. This sold snacks, drinks, sunglasses, toiletries and other necessities. Pricing was good and had a selection of cheap soft drinks and alcohol.

A smaller shop for snacks, pool items and drinks was available at the side of the main pool.

A smaller gift shop is based by the gym underneath the main reception.

Room Service:

Attended daily if you place the card for cleaning in your door each day or alternatively the do not disturb card which will request no cleaning. Sheets are changed on request. There is a card which must be placed on each bed to request this be changed.

Towels are replaced daily (assuming you request cleaning).

Team were lovely, friendly and always very clean after they had been. Overall cleanliness...

We stayed at the GF Isabel in summer 2022 and then again 2023 because we loved it so much. My daughter who is 6 and a half now, asked to go back this summer (2023) she loved it that much. It has 2 fantastic pools, 1 main one and then a smaller one which is better suited to the younger kids. The main one has all the kids club activities and some music playing whereas the smaller one only has a lifeguard. There are always sunbeds, as long as you get there early enough and like everywhere, the pools are chained off until 10am and if anyone tries to put their towels down pre-10am, there are security guards who remove the towels to keep it fair for everyone.

The hotel itself is more like a little village than a hotel, it is very clean, plenty of staff going round the hotel making sure it is always clean, even grounds staff tidying up overhanging trees / bushes.

We have only been bed and breakfast but the breakfasts are always very nice, something for everyone, cereals, cooked breakfasts, cold breakfasts, plenty egg options, smoothies, juices and the most amazing fruit choices always very fresh. The pool bar begins serving lunch at 1pm and has a great selection of lunch items including cheese and ham toasties which my little girl loved. You can eat at the pool bar or take it to the poolside. One thing to note is that you have to either pay by card or put things on your room, they dont accept cash so we always take a prepay card for the hotel which we load up in UK.

The rooms are always extremely clean, they get cleaned every day with the occupants deciding if they want their bed covers cleaned by placing a card on the bed as well as the towels, these go in the bath if you want new ones. The bathroom has a bath with a shower and the shower is very powerful which is always welcomed on holiday to make sure you get all the sun cream off you.

The location suits us down to the ground, we like to be where it is quiet at night and we certainly get that at GF Isabel. We like to walk and everything is in walking distance for us, our rule is, if we can walk it in 30/45 mins, we will walk, if not then we will get a taxi (reception will order you a taxi on request). Costa Adeje market is directly opposite the Isabel and is on Thursday & Saturday 9am - 2pm i think it was and there is also a fantastic 'mall' just across the road too which has some really lovely restaurants inc. Italian, Chinese, Thai, Steak, Mexican, Mediterranean. The shops are designer alongside perfume shops and a place to book activities and excursions.

Now I come to the most important bit in my eyes, the staff. The staff are nothing short of incredible especially those at reception who are always very friendly and will do anything they can to help you. I would like to give a big shout out to Alma who has helped us with a few things before we arrived and whilst we were there, she is wonderful and the pinnacle of customer service. As you walk around the hotel, almost every member of staff will greet you which I absolutely love and I always make sure to greet them as well. My daughter enjoys greeting the staff and telling them about what she is doing and been doing in the past couple of days. Kids club remembered her from last year which was really nice and made her very happy. Kids club has so much for all ages including fun at the big pool with inflatables and then in their own kids club space under cover. Its excellent.

So all in all, we think this hotel is fantastic, everything we would want from a hotel and when we are going to Tenerife, this is the only place we will stay....

Gone for a 3* review which might be considered a little harsh but there were a few bits I found really frustrating. Firstly, the room was very dated albeit functional. However the noise from the adjoining room (a different family) kept us up most evenings. It was like they were in the same room! Why they didn't place our own family on the same booking as us in the room next door I'll never no. Instead our family were placed opposite. The bathrooms felt like we were in a 2* hotel. Turning the shower on was a nightmare and getting the pressure correct so that the shower holder didn't give up and allow the shower to spray the whole room was almost impossible. There was mould on the ceiling which look like a 80s built office block ceiling. No lights above the mirror, just one large florence light similar to my office in the UK. There are a few cats wondering the hotel. I'm normally pretty cautious letting my children near an unfamiliar cat but I had seen other children stroking the cats and the hotel even provide a little house for the cats. So against my better judgement I let my 6 year old daughter stroke the one with my supervision. Gently and calmy. The cat bit my daughter on the arm! I was siting next to her at the time and she did nothing aggressive or provocative to elicit such a reaction from the cat. I asked reception if the cats had been vaccinated against things like rabies only to be told of course, but you shouldn't stoke the cats. All good and well to say that, but their are no signs suggesting not to stroke them, and they are actively encouraging cats in the hotel. Maybe a sign warning that these cats bite might be good idea. The food was average. Breakfast was often cold even though it was sitting on a hot plate and the quality was average even if there was a reasonable selection. The evening entertainment was also pretty average and mainly aimed at German guests, along with the TUI Germany kids club. Although apparently there was a Spanish/English speaking kids club but it is poorly advertised or promoted. We has asked hotel reception if they could order us a cab for 6 people. They told us 10 mins. 30 mins later no cab had arrived and we were worried we would miss our booked boat ride. We ended up having to re-book 2 cabs and put 3 each after they said a 6 seater would be longer still. If they had just advised from the start it would yake over 45 mins for a 6 seater we would have just 2 normal cabs from the start. You could argue this isn't the fault of the hotel, but if reception say they can book you a cab and that it will be 10 mins, then they take some responsibility here. They should have experience of the 6 seater cabs on the island and be able to make a reasonable prediction on how long they take. Not be wrong by 45 minutes! Finally, we had to ask for our patio area to be cleaned after it clearly hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests had stayed. And to add to that, we found a poop under the tree. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and the pools were great. But having been to many many hotels around the world, this feel short of my expectations and didn't provide the 4* experience you would normally expect.

--- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review of GF Isabel, Costa Adeje, Tenerife My stay at GF Isabel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife was an absolutely wonderful experience — easily deserving of five stars. This charming Canarian-style resort captures everything that makes a holiday unforgettable: friendly staff, great food, beautiful surroundings, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. From the moment you arrive, the service stands out. The reception team are warm, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. The check-in process is quick, and the staff genuinely seem to care that you enjoy your stay. Whether you need help with directions, restaurant advice, or just want a chat, they go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and happy. The atmosphere at GF Isabel is one of its greatest strengths. The resort feels like a peaceful little village, with charming architecture, stone walkways, and beautiful tropical gardens. There’s a lovely sense of calm around the place, but it’s still lively enough to feel fun and full of life. Families, couples, and even solo travellers can all enjoy the balance between peace and entertainment here. The buffet restaurant is fantastic — easily one of the best I’ve had in Tenerife. Every meal feels like a treat, with an incredible variety of dishes that change daily. Breakfasts are full of fresh fruit, pastries, pancakes, and omelettes made right in front of you. Dinners are equally impressive, with themed nights, fresh fish, grilled meats, and plenty of vegetarian options. The food is always fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully displayed. You can tell the chefs really care about quality. The location is perfect — right in Costa Adeje, one of the nicest parts of the island. The hotel is only a short walk from Playa del Duque and Playa Fañabé, two gorgeous beaches with golden sand and crystal-clear water. There are also plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby, so everything you could need is within walking distance. The facilities are top-notch. The pools are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of sunbeds available. There’s a great children’s pool and play area, and the entertainment team keep everyone smiling with games, activities, and evening shows. The animation team deserves special praise for their energy and friendliness. One small thing worth mentioning is that the cleaners can sometimes be a bit nosy — they’re lovely and hardworking, but they occasionally come in to clean even when you haven’t given permission yet. It’s not a huge issue, but something to be aware of if you prefer privacy. Aside from that minor detail, everything else at GF Isabel is simply excellent. The staff, food, location, and overall atmosphere make it a truly special place. Whether you’re visiting as a family or just want to relax in the sun, this hotel offers a perfect mix of comfort, charm, and warmth. A solid 10/10 — I would happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tenerife.

A smaller shop for snacks, pool items and drinks was available at the side of the main pool. A smaller gift shop is based by the gym underneath the main reception. Room Service: Attended daily if you place the card for cleaning in your door each day or alternatively the do not disturb card which will request no cleaning. Sheets are changed on request. There is a card which must be placed on each bed to request this be changed. Towels are replaced daily (assuming you request cleaning). Team were lovely, friendly and always very clean after they had been. Overall cleanliness was very good.
