Unsafe and Dishonest – Avoid This Hotel||||We had a terrible experience at Aparthotel Napols in Barcelona. Upon arrival, we discovered that the balcony and window locks in our room were completely broken, making it unsafe to stay in.||||The receptionist initially tried to fix the locks himself instead of offering us a proper solution. Only after we insisted on leaving did he call the manager and offer another room—but only for one night, with the expectation that we move back once our original room was "fixed" (no timeline provided). At 2 AM, exhausted and frustrated, we had no choice but to leave and book another hotel.||||When we later contacted the hotel, the manager lied, claiming they had offered an alternative room for the entire stay, which was completely false. They even gaslighted us, saying we "misunderstood," but this is untrue. We would never have left in the middle of the night if a proper room had been offered from the start.||||Booking.com has been unhelpful, repeatedly saying they can't issue a refund unless the hotel agrees, but the hotel continues to lie about the situation. We are now stuck paying for two hotels because of this hotel's dishonesty and lack of professionalism.||||On top of safety issue, the staff was extremely unprofessional. We dealt with three different receptionists when tried to talk to the manager, and all of them were unhelpful.||Things only got worse from there. We returned to the hotel to try to resolve the issue directly with the manager. Manager was not available||Both receptionists were extremely rude, arguing with us and telling us to leave. The night shift receptionist, Omar (if he didn’t lie about his name), was especially disrespectful. It was located about a 3-4 minute drive from Plaza Cataluña.However, when I arrived for check-in, there was an issue with my reservation which was pre-paid through Trip.com. It took about 20 minutes to resolve the problem with the hotel's system.The room was very large and gave me an impression of having been designed for luxury. However, it did not seem to be well maintained. The bathroom was spacious but there was mold and grime in some places. The amenities provided were disposable shampoo and shower gel, with 6 packs of shampoos but only 1 of shower gel.The temperature control system seemed to be centrally controlled. I attempted to adjust it several times, but it kept resetting to the initial settings. Also, there was no light bulb in the bedside lamp at the head of the bed.Overall, the room was large and had a kitchenette, but the maintenance seemed to be lacking...
