The first impression: I liked it.

The location of the gym is just perfect.

The gym ticks all the basics: spacious bar area, good coffee, friendly bartenders and the reception, approachable stuff inside the gym, good sized changing rooms (although could fit more benches), working toilets and showers.

The climbing area feels very cozy, and has a good number of lead and auto-belay routes. Overall, the space they have is very well used, and, considering the location, it is probably as big as it could ever be, so no complaints here.

Now, the most important: the route-setting. The routes felt quite diverse and required some thinking. However, in my opinion, the grade is too soft and most of the routes I tried followed the same pattern: easy start - crux - easy finish, with the easy part being at least one full grade easier than the crux, and the crux being some awkward body-twisting move. While it wasn't bad, far from that, I still wish there was more uniform difficulty and more fluidity to the sequence. But, to be fair, I need to try more routes to confirm my experience.

The absolutely best thing about this gym is how new the holds are: the friction is just amazing, whatever you grab, the hand just sticks to the plastic.

The worst is probably the price of the "matricula". I don't completely understand the essence of the service provided under this article, it feels just like an arbitrary amount they slap on top of the membership. For me personally, I would rather keep my Sharma membership and keep coming once or twice a month to BD, as...

I've been climbing at this gym a few months now and have some remarks I'd like to share in the hope the gym improves. I still give it 3 stars because I enjoy going here but I'm also doubting whether I should have taken the year subscription.

Staff is friendly and attentive, although they are more aware of climbers not wearing a helmet than belayers not holding the break rope. Quality of routes is poor, especially at lower grades. The harder routes are fun but are usually bouldery. There is a enormous lack of footholds, there are crazy stopper moves, and holds are often so far apart or above the ground, I seriously doubt if the routes are tested. For the price of this gym I am disappointed in this and the route diversity. Please expand the building team with either an experienced building lead or train the team to build routes at continous difficulty and test. Nice gym in the basement and good...

He estado visitando este rocódromo durante un año ya que me hice socio y, lamentablemente, mi experiencia ha ido en declive. En los últimos meses, he notado que solo cuentan con un equipador y las rutas no se han renovado en dos meses, lo cual le quita frescura a la experiencia.

Además, el trato recibido ha sido bastante deficiente. La última vez que fui, acompañando a tres personas que no eran clientes, el personal fue muy descortés. También me resultó incómodo que el personal interrumpiera mi escalada para darme consejos sobre seguridad, algo que considero innecesario y hasta molesto. Estuvo todo mi pegue hablando con mi asegurador, que es militar de montaña, explicándole su opinión sobre como debería de asegurar. Pienso que si quieres aconsejar son 5 segundos y que se debería de respetar al que está escalando que es quién realmente corre peligro. Al terminar la ruta y bajar así se lo hice saber, diciéndole que considero que lo mas importante es mi seguridad y que si está hablando con mi asegurador es imposible que el esté al 100% por mi. A todos esto me respondió que lo entendía a medias, como si dar su información era más importante que mi seguridad. Todo esto género cierta tensión y los cuatro técnicos de escalada que había en la sala se juntaron a hablar entre ellos. Me sorprende que desde hace un año que llegue he visto como estos mismos técnicos se ponen debajo del desplome sentados en sillas donde podrían estar sentados los clientes sin quitar ojo del móvil o ordenador. De hecho después de respirar toda esa tensión una amiga que vino conmigo les hizo fotos y videos para tener documentado el trato que recibimos. Además no quiso hacer cuerda porque si yo y mi amigo que somos los que tienen más experiencia hemos recibido este trato ni quiso ni siquiera intentarlo. También tengo que decir que mis dos otros amigos no habían escalado nunca en ese rocodromo, uno de ellos era incluso la primera vez que escalaba en su vida y en ningún momento les hicieron el test de seguridad ni recibieron ningún tipo de atención como se requiere en estos casos.

Por si fuera poco, me prohibieron asegurar en el rocódromo después de que me señalaran que soltaba la cuerda pasiva durante 1 segundo para dar cuerda rápidamente a mí compañero, a pesar de mi experiencia, me dijeron que a partir de ahora tenía prohibido asegurar más en su rocodromo ya que no cumplía con las normas del centro. Acto seguido fui directamente a recepción para que me informarán sobre como darme de baja del centro. No público las fotos y los vídeos porque ellos mismos me han dicho que me pueden denunciar por publicar sus caras.

En resumen, la falta de renovación de rutas, el mal trato y la falta de profesionalismo en la atención me hacen no recomendar...
