Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Barcelona

If you are a coffee geek, you should definitely go to BREW COFFEE in Barcelona. In our opinion, one of the 3 best specialty coffees in town. They are located near the Arc De Triomph in a neighbour that is famous for the big concentration of orientals (in fact you can see many oriental letters in many stores and businesses as you pass through there. With oriental owners and so most of its team, they managed to achieve an amazing level of service, quality, and all of this for an extremely reasonable price. The decoration is great, straight lines in architecture, simple and functional spaces as tables and the front counter that has some chairs, make that spot ideal to be chatting with the barista about the coffee you are ordering, or wanting to. As the team is very competent, you can have most of the methods explained to you as you reach them, and in this place, you don´t have to rush, several filtered methods are served for you with no rush, aiming the best flavors and aromas. We had the ORIGAMI, and, as almost a ritual in our tours, we also ordered the famous espresso doble. To come along, we tasted the great Tiramissu, made with, of course, specialty coffee. All three of them were perfect (espresso had the beans from FAMILIA OSORIO and Origami from Beat Brew Bar from Valencia), and we left BREW COFFEE feeling like returning again very soon, probably to work remotely from there with Barista friends and excepcional coffee.

Love this place. Firstly, the coffee is tasty, both hot and cold. Secondly, the tables outside are in a perfect mix of sun, shade from the tall trees, and fresh exhaust of the traffic. And thirdly, the visual aesthetics. Whoever chooses the cups, glasses and cutlery has a very good taste, the proportions are interesting and attractive. See the blue cup on my photo; even after you drink the coffee the inside has some perfect shape. This particular shape is repeated in red and black, for the different sizes of your hot drink. And a set looks great together (people nearby happened to order their coffee so it was served in these 3 matching cups). Even the combination of the size and shape of the ice pieces pleases the eye -I had a large ice barrel 3cm×2cm and random little pieces of 0.8mm in my funky glass of ice latte today. Perfect colour and a black straw. I don't think I have ever been in a cafe that had that attention to visual...

Today we visited this place for the 3rd time and this time unfortunately I was disappointed, my matcha was ok but not as good as the last time when the guys were serving the bar.

I always take it with vanilla syrup and last time it was perfectly sweet, and when I asked for more vanilla syrup today the girl asked me to pay an extra 70 cents, for the amount of syrup maybe 10 ml, even in starbucks they don't skimp on syrup, my matcha was still not as good as last time but I will not pay more for syrup especially since I sweeten it with a maximum of 1 teaspoon of syrup at home.

As for the coffee it was great every time, bravo for the recycled take away packaging,...
