I had the pleasure of dining at Dune, and it was truly an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming – it felt less like visiting a restaurant and more like being invited into someone’s home.
The food was exceptional. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying the passion fruit sangria which was recommended by the owner himself and made by hand. – tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. The Paella was exceptional and was served right to out plate after being mixed by the waiter. For appetizers, the goat cheese croquet was my favorite, bursting with flavors as well as the chicken croquet was amazing! All food tasted fresh and housemade!
What truly made the night special was the personal attention from the owner, who not only checked in on our table with a warm smile but also took the time to talk with us, making sure we were enjoying everything. At the end of the meal, he surprised us with a taste of his homemade liquor, a unique and generous gesture that perfectly capped off an already memorable evening.
Dune is a place where the food is made with heart, and the service makes you feel like family. We’ll definitely be coming back – highly...
Read moreI like most aspects of the restaurant except the food and i am gonna focus on it.
I ordered 5 plates and they were disappointing.
Bread with tomato: Average
Croquettes: Taste was good and not oily but the coating was a bit too thick and hard
Fried chicken: Average
Meatballs: Raw in the middle which was unusual for meatballs. Asked and was told that they were just beef without pork but it is logical to assume that the meat for making the meatballs are usually not good enough to eat raw or even medium rare.
Shrimps: No one would use them to make a plate like this since they were very tiny (almost no meat inside) and frozen. It was a huge disappointment for a plate which worths 15 euros!!!
I booked it through the fork with 30% discount but it feels like the original prices on the menu were set higher so the discounted prices were more like the right prices.
The ambience and service were good so i want it to survive but if the food stays the same, sadly, i dun...
Read moreMyself and my family of ten dined at Dune Taperia two weeks ago, and we couldn't have been happier that we did! Our host/waiter immediately made us feel welcome and created a place for our large group on short notice. He was very patient with us as he explained the menu and helped us to make decisions on what to order (we don't have a high degree of familiarity with Spanish cuisine).
The service was friendly and the food was just fantastic. The Andalusian calamari and seafood paella were particularly delicious, and the white sangrias hit the spot without being overly sweet like the ones I've had back home. Thanks Dune Taperia - you have some happy customers and you really enhanced our experience of Barcelona!
EDIT: I almost forgot to mention the lamb, from the tapas menu I think? The lamb was probably my...
