Kyoka | Arc de Triomf — Restaurant in Barcelona

The service is very rude. The waiter sat us in front of a door which was in use though the restaurant only had two other tables dining for lunch. Once asked whether we could move to the table right next to the indicated one he insisted we had to talk to his boss because the boss pays his salary and he cannot move us if the boss indicated this table for us. We talked to this boss and were told we cannot move. This was upsetting but we thought okay perhaps they won’t be using the door too much. We then proceed to sit down to the indicated table only to have the boss shouting at us saying we cannot sit there - they have to split the table of four for us for the four of us to sit at a table at two. At this point we found the service and atmosphere rather ridiculous and decided to leave the premises despite of our lunch reservation we had made beforehand. I’d definitely recommend avoiding this place. Seems like the worker condition are subpar and that are scared of their boss who is used to getting her way on the expense of staff and customers. I was looking forward to trying their food but I’m sorry I’ll never be returning here or recommending this place to anyone. Was hesitant to leave this review… but felt like it was my duty. Went here with a group of 10 pax and had horrible service primarily by the chubby lady manager who kept telling us to wait to get our food.

When you come in with a group of 10, you tend to order in bulk…maybe 10 dishes at a time. Everytime we we would order after the first one… she kept telling us to wait until everything would arrive. Problem is whenever the food would arrive (ie. A plate of sashimi or chicken), it would get devoured at once because everyone is hungry and pretty much getting one piece.

Also, we felt like they would slowly roll roll the dishes. You can see that a lot of the items were already cooked in the back, but to slow down your dishes… they would bring out 1-2 things every few minutes. Its as if we were eating too much even tho half our group was kids that were charged as adults.

Eventually, after waiting for about 10 mins with no food i had to call the mgr over and get mad explaining… you keep telling us to wait to order, but there’s no food.

After that, every thing that we magically appeared really fast and we were given whatever we ordered really fast.

Food was decent but i dont recommend coming in groups. Maybe 2 max if you want to really eat...

DONT TRY THIS PLACE EVEN IF ITS FOR FREE . Worst experience ever, the food is average and the lady works there has the worst attitude that I’ve ever seen in my life, she really has an attitude problem, starting from the way of forcing you to order a drink even if you accept to order a drink but after having the food she refused with a very rude attitude and behaviour, also make sure to ask multiple times about what is included in the all you can eat cause she is a scammer, we asked about what is included and we were very detailed and specific in our questions, asking the same question twice at least to make sure they understand, and after we got the bill we found that they added items to pay that she mentioned it was included in the all you can eat menu.
