There are days when nothing goes as planned. A few weeks ago, my wife and I were going to a concert so we decided to meet up 1 hour before to grab a sandwich in a famous sandwich restaurant. But it's so famous that the line was about 30m long and, most of all, it was not moving at all. So we decided to go to another place... which was closed. New plan: a burger restaurant a few minutes way: full... At that time, we were 10 minutes away from the concert venue and we only had 30 minutes before the concert began. At last, in front of that last place, we saw another burger restaurant that looked pretty empty. It didn't seem very fancy but we did a quick check on Google Maps that confirmed that it wasn't too bad. We went in and asked the clerk at the counter if we could be served in less than 10 minutes, which he confirmed. That place is called the Burger Maker. It's a halal restaurant, and there aren't so many in Barcelona, so it's good to know one for when my friends who only eat halal come and visit me. Indeed, the service was very efficient and we were served in less than 10 minutes, as promised: a burger + French fries each. The fries were good but kind of disappointing because their aspect was splendid. The burgers were good and some of them quite unusual, like the one I ordered: the lamb burger. Unfortunately, it was almost impossible to eat them because everything was falling apart. I ended up finishing the meat on 1 side and the bread on the other one. And, on top of it, I had to handle my burger with my 2 hands at all times, which prevented me from eating my fries before I finished the burger... Not ideal. And after that I washed my hand 3 times and they still smelt like burger 🙄 Despite all of that, the biggest issue for me was the price: €17 for a burger and some French fries is way too much for Barcelona. And definitely, the burgers are not exceptional enough to justify such a price.
