This is an outstanding hotel! PERFECT location. More quiet street just right off the Passag high street. Around them corner from La Pedrera, down the street from Casa Botllo. 10 minutes by metro to Sagrada Familia. 15-20 min by metro to El Born etc. If you like walking it is nice 30min strolls everywhere.

Service amazing. Staff so friendly.

Breakfast is AMAZING. One of the best I have had in Europe if not the best.

No other hotels have the garden they have. It is lovely.

Our suite was a navy blue but the way it was designed, it was so tranquil and well-lit. More modern decor with touches of the old world charm in the door frames and flooring. Ordered a bouquet of flowers for my mother for the room and it was a very large arrangement. We were sad we couldn’t take it with us.

The spa downstairs is a great way to end the day. We went down there around 11pm and enjoyed a quick swim, steam room and sauna after a long day. Beds and linens are very comfortable.

My only complaint is the shower (and probably only women will even care, hah). If you just want to wash off and not wash your hair, the shower in our room has a nozzle on the wall about chest-height but you have to hold it to use it. If you just try to angle it to spray on you to be hands free it will hit the wall behind you where your towel and robe are. If showering regular with the above rain shower head is fine. Bathtub is huge. Lotions and amenities lovely.

Really great, modern hotel in a central location in Barcelona. Super close to the main strip of shopping and not too far from the Santes train station.

Staff was excellent and provided great recs for tapas bars and restaurants which were very needed in Barcelona as it’s more touristy than other places in Spain. They do have a restaurant there and the breakfast was really tasty. The bf and I didn’t really notice at first but they have a cool outdoor bar space for small bites and very tasty cocktails which were on the pricey side - about 20 euro.

The reason for the four star rating is two things. One is the rooms are a tad awkward lol. The shower and sink are all open and exposed except for a small partition. The reason this could be awkward is if your traveling with a friend or a family member since there is no privacy. Toilet was in a separate room. Even if your traveling alone or with a partner, the steam from the shower isn’t ideal to flow into the room and we found our stuff would feel slightly damp from the moisture.

Lastly - cleaning would come by and instead of passing our room when we made them aware we were in there, they still wanted us to answer the door. Once we told them we would be here for an hour at least and they seemed a little surprised by our answer. It was a little annoying but could also be normal in Spain vs the US.

The communication from this hotel leading up to your reservation is completely non-existent. Do not expect any communication around booking spa treatments, asking about special accommodations, and most importantly, confirming your reservation.

I had originally booked a reservation for late December in early September. My travel dates changed a couple of times so I had to cancel and rebook twice. When my trip to Barcelona got moved altogether, I went to cancel one of the reservations on Nov 12th. I mistakenly forgot about my other reservation for different dates that I made when my travel schedule was still uncertain.

Leading up to the reservation date, I was never contacted by the hotel for anything at all that would have alerted me that I still had an existing reservation. Not even a “we’re looking forward to your upcoming stay” email. The hotel never even contacted me after I did not show up to see if we were safe. The only reason I know I still had a reservation was the hotel charged $400+ on my credit card.

When I called to try to explain what happened, the hotel staff was unable to speak to me in English which is strange for a 5-star hotel. Ultimately, the hotel was unwilling to work with me on the $400+ charge they placed on my credit card.
