My wife and I was celebrating our anniversary therefore we went out to eat in Pomarada. We've ordered bacon macaroni and boneless lamb. The food was tasty and aromatic. I will specify further of my entree, the boneless lamb meat was soft and the savory was mouth watering. The seasoning was soft: The gravy is creamy with soft curving flavors that its attaching yet questionable leaving the eater desiring for more. Since seasoning is commonly my orientation in flavorful food, I've added salt and pepper to increase its flavors to feel what the chef expresses in his food. Overall the experience and service was great. They do accept cards by the way. The only reason I lowered the rating is due to small details that could make a big difference. The server was very knowledgeable and supportive towards the needs of the curious visitor. But I do wish to present opportunities that can support this amazing restaurant and its service. For wine drinkers, drinking from a multiple-scratched wine glass may be unpleasant and annoying. Furthermore, table cloth are not ironed which leads to questionable presentation. Also there was strong smell of musk which can be quite distracting during a romantic dinner. If it weren't for the small details that affect the experience, It would be without a doubt a 5 star rating. I hope to...
Read moreA little hard to find, one floor up from ground level. Elegant decor, service a bit slow. Food quality was excellent. Feeling adventurous, I ordered beef carpaccio (carpaccio de buey), which came elegantly presented and tasty. My wife ordered a veal (ternura) dish, melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a crown of mashed potatoes, in rich gravy (though perhaps a bit saltier than expected). Did not try the salads, but in general quality seems to have improved considerably since the negative review published earlier. Fine selection of regional wines (we had the rosada de Navarra) and tasty deserts. A fine view of the Passeig de Gràcia would have been seen from our table if the building had not been fronted with scaffolding...
Read moreGreat food and friendly service! It was a bit odd being told to go a few floors upstairs to the restaurant. But once I was there I was very impressed with the ambiance of the inside and the outside which were delightful however I was not a huge fan of the seating options being lurid green plastic chairs outside. The food was as great with perhaps a hint of too much salt in my risotto. The wine portions were generous and a good size. The final bill was far under what we expected. I had looked at other reviews and saw that several reported scratched wine glasses and unfortunately I have to agree with them. However overall I was very happy with the service...
