I had dinner with my wife and girl (6) this evening to celebrate a special occasion. All food was delicious but it was the service that did not make the experience pleasurable.
After we were seated, a waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink. Haven’t decided on what wine we want, we told him we wanted some water. He then said ‘one water, two water, three water’ and walked away. He came back with 3 opened 500ml bottles of water which we believe the size of each single bottle is adequate for the table. This is just not reasonable: all 3 of us wanted water doesn’t mean 3 bottles of water! We did ordered some wine by the glass later. One bottle of water sit there till the end of our dinner.
The waiter took away our plates when we were still eating the bread.
We were charged 2 euros for bread which is specified on the menu and we are fine with it. On the menu it said “Bread and appetizer: Flavored butter with grissini and bread”. The waiter brought us a plate with 3 pieces of bread without any grissini. I can see there were grissini on the plate brought to other tables. As my girl wanted grissini, I requested grissini from the same waiter and he seems confused. I repeated with ‘breadsticks’ then he asked me to request help from his colleague, pointed to a waitress serving another table (instead of asking his colleague for help or to attend us). Our girl did not ask for the grissini at last.
One of the waitresses brought us 3 small plates of sauce for the steak when we have finished half of our steak. When we ordered our steak, we did not order any extra sauce, so we thought it was something included. When we got our bill we were charged 10 euros for the sauce we did not order in the first place. We did not ask to remove it from our bill because we did have the sauce, however I would be more willing to pay that 10 euros if it was not brought to us after we have finished half of the steak. If we have ordered the sauce ourselves, we would have cancelled it if it was not brought to us until we are half way through our steak.
The receipt of our meal is attached. We paid the exact bill but had not paid any service charge because we were not happy with the service we received.
We don’t feel it is dishonesty- if so the restaurant can easily do it with the steak. It is a lack of common sense, communication and attention that has ruined...

I had not been worried about the service from this place but it turned out a bit disappointing.
Overall, the food was great (T-bone steak had a lot of fat than I expected tho,) and a female server who has a long curly hair as I remember was also nice.
But the first impression wasn’t that good.
The lady in front of the entrance seemed not interested in our table. She didn’t mention we could check a wine list via QR code and she just asked what drink we’d like to have. Thankfully, the other server came to us and she gave the menu to us cuz we weren’t able to use a signal inside (you guys should open your wifi to public or stop serving online menu.)
And it took over 20 min to make an order. And even though we ordered still water but the first lady poured the small amount of water with a bottle and she took the bottle lol. I assume that the amount of water that three of us had is almost like 200ml.
Anyway, the other lady who gave the food and a wine was really nice. I’d like to tip her but due to the first impression, I couldn’t.
Even though the place’s got busy, you should care about service as this kind...
Read moreI had high hopes for 9Reinas, and while the food and atmosphere were outstanding, the extremely slow service nearly ruined the experience.
Let’s start with the positives: The food was absolutely amazing flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The rip eye was great, and the pumpkin ravioli was so good that it almost made up for the wait. The atmosphere was also fantastic cozy, stylish, and perfect for a nice dinner.
Now, the major downside: The service was painfully slow. We waited 30 minutes just for someone to take our order, and then it took nearly two hoursfor the food to arrive. For a restaurant of this caliber, that’s completely unacceptable, especially when other tables who arrived after us were served much faster.
To make matters worse, when I finally asked for the bill, the waiter had the audacity to ask if I wanted to add a tip as if the terrible wait times deserved extra reward! The lack of self-awareness was astounding.
While the food itself is worth coming back for, the abysmal service makes it hard to justify a return visit anytime soon. If management can fix these issues particularly the kitchen and waitstaff efficiency this place could be truly great. Until then, diners should be prepared for a very long and...
