Good morning ! Our holiday journey continues. We consider our next stay to be a very successful one, but there were a few minor things that didn't matter, of course, which I will write about later. Between July 20-22, me and my wife land, this time at the Renaissance Barcelona hotel. Warm welcome by a nice lady at the hotel reception, professional check-in. The lady at the reception informs us that we are getting a room with a view of the city, but it turns out that the view is not of the city, but of the yard. You can't see the city, only the air conditioning installations located on the roof of the first floor of the hotel building. During the day, you can hear the noise of working generators and air conditioning, but at night you can't hear anything, there is blissful silence. It looked so nice, we don't advertise it, it's hard, we came to see the sea and bathe in it, not sit in the room and look out the window. The room is like one of many in hotels of this class, cozy and quiet, very clean, the decor suits our tastes, a very comfortable mattress, we feel at home, we sleep well, there is an intimate atmosphere that favors relaxation. Perfectly functioning air conditioning, cools the room to the desired temperature quickly, works very quietly at night, and is efficient, which is a big advantage, rarely found in hotels. The next day after cleaning the room, the tea and coffee corner in our room was not refilled, the tray was empty, no water was left, we also do not complain because that is not why we came here, but the impression of disappointment remains, which we will remember. I accidentally turn on the TV, I wanted to listen to music, there is information on the screen, no connection with the antenna, irritation. And what should we think about all this? These are just little things, of course, of no great importance, but these little things create a whole and influence the final impression of the customer. Such situations should not happen in a hotel of this class. Quick check-out on the last day, professional service at the reception, the staff offered us help, a short exchange of opinions and we were already heading to the next hotel. We give the maximum rating based on experience, we know that there are no perfect hotels. What will it bring us, the next place, what impressions we will experience, see and write about it. Exceptional Front Desk Service - Special Thanks to William I had an amazing experience staying at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel, and I must highlight the outstanding service provided by the front desk team, especially William. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to my needs. William ensured my check-in process was smooth and efficient, and his local recommendations truly enhanced my stay in the city. The hotel is in the heart of Barcelona, close and walkable to all the famous places. The location is perfect, allowing us to explore the city easily and return to rest in the afternoon or for an evening walk. The hotel itself is beautiful, with thoughtfully designed rooms. I especially loved my prestige corner room, which was beautifully set up with great amenities. The buffet breakfast was also excellent, with lots of variety—we really enjoyed it each morning before heading out to explore. Thank you, William, for making my stay comfortable and memorable. I look forward to returning!

This was a disappointing experience for a Marriott hotel. The bad: 1. We noted to them that this was part of our honeymoon prior to our arrival, however this was the only hotel of our trip that didn’t celebrate or even acknowledge that we were spending part of this with them. All the other places we stayed had loving touches that really made it special. 2. We booked this hotel based on an image that misrepresented the pool. The pool is big enough for two people, has four chairs, and isn’t a relaxing experience being bar adjacent. I would have gone else where had I known. (Picture attached) 3. Rooms are small, dated, and noisy even booking a superior room. 4. Breakfast was not great and not worth the $24 Euro each. Good: 1. The hotel was able to accommodate an early checkin using the Marriott app 2. The location is pretty good while not being in the centre of the crazy

A Heartfelt Review of Renaissance Barcelona Hotel Carrer de Pau Claris, 122, L'Eixample, 08009 Barcelona

I’m beyond thrilled to share my incredible experience at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel, where we conducted a two-week program for 62 participants. This hotel didn’t just provide us with a place to stay – it gave us an experience that felt like home, right in the heart of one of the most vibrant cities in the world.

First, let’s talk about the location. Situated on Pau Claris in the heart of Barcelona, the hotel couldn’t be more perfectly placed. With high-end stores, halal restaurants, and supermarkets just steps away, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to explore this stunning city. From its central position, everything from iconic landmarks to charming streets is just a short walk or ride away.

But while the location is amazing, what truly makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional hospitality. I am genuinely blown away by the warmth and kindness of the staff, and I feel compelled to call out some truly outstanding individuals who went above and beyond throughout our stay.

Our journey began with the wonderful Berta Amenós, our sales representative. Berta is an absolute gem – not only is she incredibly kind and flexible, but she was also instrumental in making sure our program ran smoothly. She helped us navigate Barcelona like locals, finding buses to landmarks, offering great recommendations, and even securing a generous discount that made our stay feel like great value. She truly made our experience special from the very start.

The reception team deserves a huge shoutout as well. Guillem, Montse, Ricardo, Johanna, Zhenya, and Marc always greeted us with warmth and made sure our needs were met, no matter how big or small. From room service to last-minute printouts, they were always ready to assist with a smile.

A special mention must go to the Welcome Boys – Faisal, Omar, Javier, and Daniel. These gentlemen were absolute treasures, helping us with luggage, boxes, and always greeting us with smiles that made us feel at home. Faisal in particular was a huge help with any questions I had about the city, and our conversations were always a delight!

The restaurant team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, always ensuring we were well-fed and taken care of. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or special requests, Olivia, Manuel, Paola, Marc, Augustin, Laura, and Rosa Maria made sure every meal was exceptional. The food was consistently delicious, and their hospitality was unmatched. Hernandez from the IT team was quite helpful, from setting up projectors to solving any tech issues on the fly, he was a constant support and ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on our work.

And last but certainly not least, the banquet team—Barbara, Athena, Gabi, Jordi, and Jose Maria—were nothing short of spectacular. I may have been a little demanding with last-minute changes and requests for room setups, but they handled everything with incredible patience and efficiency. They truly felt like my personal team, always there to help and make sure everything went off without a hitch. I honestly can’t thank them enough for their support.

With this heartfelt review, I urge anyone planning a meeting, event, or holiday in Barcelona to choose the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel. Not only is it a beautiful hotel in the perfect location, but the amazing staff makes it so much more than just a place to stay. They genuinely made us feel at home, and I can honestly say this hotel is now my home away from home in this incredible city.

Thank you, Renaissance Barcelona, for making our time here unforgettable! You have my highest...

The Renaissance Barcelona is very nice, albeit slightly pricey, hotel located in the center of everything you will want to do in the city.

Our room was on the 10th floor and included a king-sized bed and a large "marble" bathroom. There's a good-sized TV, but we never used it.

Housekeeping was fantastic and the bartenders were extremely pleasant.

There's no concierge lounge, but the 8th floor terrace is a nice feature with it's open air seating, bar, and foot-soaking pool. We were there during the European heat wave of July 2015 and since the terrace is in the sun most of the day it was nearly unbearable to sit out there, but it would have been a great amenity to enjoy in slightly cooler weather.

This hotel is one block away from the ritzy Passeig de Gracia shopping district, and sits one diagonal block away from a metro station (
