We were just lurking around, and stumbled upon by chance on La Rita restaurant. They had an open WiFi network, so we catch a break in front of restaurant to check notifications, while we were actually looking for a lunch somewhere in that area. They appeared to have quite good reviews on google and we gave them a chance. The waitress came few minutes after we seated and I asked for a couple more minutes, after 5 minutes her colleague asked if we were ready and started writing down the order even though my girlfriend wasn’t ready. They had like 5-7 options per course, and at the last page they had daily menu for 25€ per person - including starter, main dish, desert and a drink. Both of us ended up taking a menu, and white wine for the drink. They brought us a pitcher of home white wine - which tasted good , like a 0,5L and bottle of still water also around 0.5L.

What was very surprising is the size of the starter dish. I was eating egg with prosciutto over french fries, and Caesar salad was for her. Which was her last dish that day(she’s not eating that much)

I’ve finished my plate and main dish came in, she ordered friend chicken leg with prawns and buttered potatoes, while I was eating Iberian sirloin with rice in red curry sauce. She actually just tasted her food, because she was already full, and I have finished my plate within minutes. It tasted good- not too spicy, not a lot of eastern spices which was amazing and very tasty.

For dessert we were having kind of a sorbet tasting like lemon, and something which was here choice, I personally didn’t like it that much. My choice was some kind of a local sweet which I liked.

All in all, we had a good time there. It was kinda of a fine dining experience, with big portions and reasonable prices. Interior is pretty, toilets are clean and tidy. I would recommend this place...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with La Rita Barcelona's customer service, and I must say it was utterly disappointing. From start to finish, the level of service I received was shockingly poor, leaving me frustrated and dissatisfied.

First and foremost, the staff at La Rita Barcelona seemed completely disinterested in assisting customers. When I approached them with a simple inquiry, their lack of enthusiasm was palpable. It felt as if I was inconveniencing them by merely seeking assistance, which is certainly not the kind of treatment one expects from a reputable establishment.

Moreover, their response time was abysmal. Despite making several attempts to contact their customer service department via email and phone, I received little to no response. It was as if my concerns and inquiries were of no importance to them. This level of negligence and disregard for customers' time is completely unacceptable.

When I finally managed to reach someone, their attitude was far from helpful. The representative I spoke with was rude and dismissive, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. It was clear that they had no interest in resolving my issue or providing any form of satisfactory solution. Their behavior only added to my frustration and left me feeling undervalued as a customer.

Furthermore, the lack of transparency and accountability...

I had a large birthday dinner here, and the food and service were excellent. We were given the rear area almost exclusively (save for four diners who were relocated) and Myra and her colleague, Bayan I believe, were charming throughout the night, being attentive without being intrusive. Communication before the meal was speedy with Alba who coordinated everything and all guests had a lovely meal. One very small quibble was that two people couldn't attend on the day (one was sick and one was jetlagged) but we had to pay for their meals anyway because we had communicated numbers beforehand. A touch more flexibility would have been appreciated, especially with such a big group where there are inevitably unforeseen consequences. However, this didn't in anyway impact on our enjoyment of the evening. It's a lovely space for a birthday meal, the food was good quality, well-timed given the number of people and service was charming. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant, front of house, in the kitchen and behind the scenes, who helped us with such a special birthday celebration. We look forward...

We enjoyed our visit to La Rita. It was our last night and what a surprising and eclectic fusion of pan Asian and Catalonian cuisines? We loved our starters to share. The tempura on the aubergines was light and crispy and perfectly cooked. The octopus delicious and also the meats and bread. We asked for aioli which we got no problem. The carbonara was also quite authentic and went down a treat. I had high expectations of the mains. I asked for a recommendation and therefore had sirloin iberica ham in red Thai curry. And that was a disappointment. The sauce was ok but I missed the pineapple, tomatoes, aubergine, lychees etc. There was no freshness. And there was so much carrot and whole peanuts sprinkled on top. This was a fusion dish that did not work. Though the meat was tender and plentiful. However my companions loved their mains, especially the steak which he thought was perfectly cooked as requested and was good quality too. The service was good and the restaurant cosy and nicely done.
