If WIFI is important, don't book this hostel.||I stayed on the 3rd floor for a week, and there was no WIFI at all! ||The owners came up with a lot of poor excuses, blaiming it on my computer etc. But no one had wifi, and nothing was done about it. And unfortunately I really needed it! So for me this was very stressing.||There was wifi in the communal rooms, but what they don't tell you on their web page is that the communal rooms are closed and inacessable after 23pm. So that didn't help much.||The bad:|- No wifi on 3rd floor|- No access to the kitchen and communal area after 23pm (and no info about it on the web page!)|- very basic rooms, no lamp for reading, old matresses etc.|- thin walls, noisy||The good:|-Friendly and informative people, especially Vanessa at the reception|- nice not to sleep in bunk beds|- location is ok|- late tjeck out|- possible to leave the bag in the reception the last day|- clean bathroom|- Lockers in the room||For me lack of wifi was very negative, which is partly why I gave it 2 stars.|And not to be able to acess the kitchen in the night is also a negative for me. ||However, the people are nice and...
Read moreIf you're looking for basic accommodation and facilities in the center of Cadiz, this is the place. ||However, if you're looking for a room for a couple, I wouldn't recommend it as it is very noisy (very thin doors and windows, so you can hear the noise coming from the street and in the hallway from the travelers partying), there is no parking provided and it is a nightmare to find a public parking spot in the street, facilities and furniture are very basic... all of this could be okay for a decent price, but we paid 80,00€ and found it quite pricey for a hostel in the South of Spain, even for a private room, compared to the rest of the area. ||||Strengths: ||- location: very central||- Very reliable wifi||- Friendly staff ||- Large and spacious room||- Late check-out: 12:00am||||Weaknesses:||- very noisy: noise coming from the street (thin windows) and from the hostel itslef (thin walls and door)||- No elevator ||- You have to pay extra to leave your suitcase ||- Pricey for a hostel ||- Very difficult to find a parking spot -we had to park the car in a private parking lot at...
Read moreI am about to check out of this fantastic hostel. Situated in one of the many narrow streets of the old city centre, it is a home not only to travelers and tourists but also – and most importantly – to the family running the hostel, as well as, other locals from Cádiz in the upper floors of the building. Un albergue muy simpático y familiar como una casa! It made my days in Cádiz feel relaxed and home-ly. Breakfast time allows you to socialize with other guests who are mostly from different parts of Spain. I didn't meet any "Europe-backpackers" ;)||||All basics are covered in this hostel, i.e. clean rooms, beds, bathrooms. Balconies out onto the street. All amenities that one needs. And again: the common areas and general feel of the building makes it a home to chill on the couches in the early evening hours before heading out for dinner in Barrio del Pópulo or elsewhere close by.||||Gracias por todo,...
