I attend the language school which is only a 15 minutes walk from the lodge✅| The bathroom is very spacious and fresh towels are given every other day✅|The bed is extremely comfortable✅|The staff are amazing. As I was traveling alone it can be fairly lonely but the staff made sure I made some friends and if I see the staff around Cádiz they always stop to say hello✅|Would recommend this place to anyone. Recommend going to the Sunday sessions as well, which is like a little party on the roof and a very good place to meet new people. |The terrace/roof is amazing, it is often deserted so a siesta in the hammocks is very much on the cards. |There are few negatives such as my room didn’t have air con but I had a very decent fan which was more the satisfactory. And I do believe so rooms do have air con so it’s not the end of the world if yours doesn’t. If I were you I wouldn’t spend much time in the hotel I would get out the room as much as possible and explore Cádiz or spend time on the...
Read moreLoved staying here! The rooms were spacious and well equipped. We had a closet, dresser, desk and a huge bed. It was great to have the desk since we were working remotely on the trip. The WiFi was not the fastest from our room though, it seemed to work better downstairs by the restaurant. The hostel is well kept, clean and very nicely decorated. All of the rooms have different names rather than numbers. The common areas are small downstairs, but the rooftop patio is unbeatable. There are chaise lounges to tan or nap on, hammocks, and a big table for eating or hanging out. The kitchen is a bit small but with so many great places to eat in Cadiz, you won’t want to cook much! The bathrooms were always kept well stocked and very clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They will hold your luggage downstairs if you arrive early or want to explore Cadiz after checkout, and you get a free welcome drink when you arrive. You can’t...
Read moreWe had a very enjoyable stay at the Spanish Galleon Lodge. The staff were all super friendly. The location is excellent, next to the main square and close to the train station. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach in the old town or to the beaches of the new town. We had breakfast in the cafe downstairs a few times and it was really good but also ventured out to some local cafes for breakfast too. Lots of good places to eat nearby. We had been sent a list of recommendations before check in and we tried out quite a few of them. Staff happy to help with recommendations while we were there too. Our room was as we expected. Relatively basic but comfortable. Good shower with plenty of hot water. No view from our room but we were out and about most of the time so that didn't bother us. The roof terrace is lovely but we didn't make as much use of it was I...
