I have lived here for a year and half and who knew one of the best restaurants in Càdiz was right around the corner from my house. Definitely have to get the rice, it’s so flavorful, if you love mushrooms like we do. The steak was cooked to perfection- medium rare. The outside tables are pretty unassuming compared to the other restaurants on the street with beautiful chairs and umbrellas, this place like I said does not have that allure. If they spruced up their outside compared to their food they would have much more business. Although, it was nice though to sit on a quieter part of that street. We are going back...

I don’t know what exactaly on my looking made the waiter judge me and suppose that I didn’t had money to be on this restaurant. First it was told me that there was no table available inside, so I accepted outside. After 3 hours eating on the cold, 4 tables were still empty inside.

That was not only the point, the waiter make a type of joke like if if the meats of the menu were too expensive for me.

Regarding the food, the rice which is the specialty is really good, but I couldn’t say the same about the sea food that tasted nothing apart from oil.

Go along the same street, you will find good ones with a lovely...

We had:

Homemade Sangria - Best Sangria in Town / Price ok

Ensalada de Tomates - Way to much salt! / 12 Euro are way too much!!!!

Tartar Atún con helado ponzo (Red tuna) - very very good!!! / Price (22 Euros) high but ok...

Pulpo Braseado - The olive oil over the squid was very bitter. It was sad because the squid was made quite good. / 29 Euros are way to much!!

Carabinero- Very good, but one Carabinero was too little / 18.60 Euro for one carabinero is to much!!!

All in all the food was good, but nothing special for these high prices. High prices = high...

A must-have stop for carnivores, with good aged beef meats, from local to international breeds, and cooked to perfection. But do not disregard the rest of their menu, anchovies were delicious, keep room to try the desserts. The venue is small and cozy, better book in advance right at the heart of Cadiz old city. Perfect to spend a day strolling the city and recover energies. Service was courteous and very helpful, they had done their homework and knew every detail about the menu, but specially about the meats. Highly remarkable staff! I strongly recommend this restaurant.
