Palacio Vegafuente by Caleta Homes — Hotel in Málaga

I would love to leave a completely positive review, but two things influenced our stay quite negatively.

I'll begin with positivies: the accomodation is beautiful, we loved the terrace (we stayed im the apartment 2.4), the location is very quiet and close to the city center, the reception responds to messages very quickly.

Now the negative stuff. First of all, the wall in our bedroom was very thin, or maybe it is the fault of the roof design, I'm not sure. The result, however was, that we could hear literally eveything from the apartment next to us (apartment 2.5). It was a kitchen with living room and that means that we could hear all the conservation, food preparation, dishes, even TV. It was as if the people were standing in our bedroom or watching a movie in our bed.

We were there with our little daughter and that means that we went to bed earlier. It was very hard to get her to sleep when there was so much noise. And then, during the night we were waking up to different sounds. It depended on the guests from the other apartment. We stayed for 9 nights so we had pretty much all kinds of neighbours.

One of the main reasons why we picked this accomodation and this particular apartment was that it looked like a quiet apartment. Unfortunately, that was not true. Maybe the situation is better in other apartments, because they don't have a wall adjacent to the kitchen or they are not under the roof, but who knows...

The other thing that we didn't like is that the "palacio" changed into a youth hostel during the weekend...there were two different large groups of women coming to have a party in Malaga (one was a bachelorette party and second a birthday celebration). They booked the rooms in almost entire hotel and suddenly there were towels all over the place, shouting in the common areas, people running from room to room. It was impossible to sit at the terrace, because we were not able to hear our own voices.

Very nice accommodation in the historical building, in the quiet part of Malaga city center. The apartments we rented are freshly renovated, contain all necessary equipment and kitchen/bathroom stuff(including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and kettle). Another advantage is own balcony with the hidden yard view, the evenings there are beautiful. Perfect place to stay in Malaga, the apartment and the entire building are beautiful. Apartment was really big, everything was super clean and bright. Bed and linen were super comfortable and we really enjoyed staying here. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.
