UPDATE 20.08: RIP Gust Restaurant. After 2 months we decided to go back to one of our beloved restaurant. Super exited to eat our favorite dishes. Oh my what a disappointment! Pumpkin carpaccio was not a carpaccio anymore. The slices were 4 times thicker than before. Beef chimichurri was a dehydrated piece of beef thrown on a plate. The falafel sla was a basic coleslaw. Anyone with a slight understanding of taste and flavor can spot that the chef that used to creat gastronomic explosion of flavors has been replaced by someone with zero understanding of flavor, finesse in food and aesthetics. Its a pity that consistency in food quality is such a complicated task to fulfill. As result, the review scored sinked from 5 stars to 1.
2 months ago: This is truly a gem in Playa Muro area! The food is absolutely exquisite. You can taste the freshness of ingredients from the first bite. The chef really knows what its doing: the perfect blend of spices and herbs make the food really tasty. We have visited the restaurant several times and every single dish we had was at the top of its game. Beef chimichurri is cooked to perfection, pumpkin carpaccio, falafel, majorca grilled carrots, burrata salad are just a few dishes that we have tried and enjoyed every single bite of it. Besides the superior food quality, the decor of the restaurant is gorgeous. The staff is very professional and friendly. We are coming for many years to Mallorca and were happy to see a new restaurant that had the guts to be bold and different in the infinite pool of restaurants along the coast offering identical menus that consist of pallaelas, burgers, pizzas. The only downside side is that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday. We are definitely going back to enjoy more of the delicious...

When we arrived at our reserved time, we were surprised to see that the menu was extremely limited. Still, we hoped that despite the simplicity, the food quality might be excellent.
Our group ordered over €150 worth of drinks. However, when the starters were served, we were told that each dish was shared between two people — meaning one starter plate for every two guests. At that point, since our drinks had already been served, we didn’t argue and just shared the starters.
Then came the main courses, and they were absolutely awful. The steak was full of gristle and practically inedible. The fish tasted anything but fresh. None of us could eat more than a few bites — it was that bad. Eventually, we left almost all the food untouched and decided to leave.
What was even more shocking was discovering afterward that the menu we were served was completely different from what other diners were getting. It really felt like we were lured in with the promise of a free dinner only to be served subpar food in hopes that we’d spend on drinks.
The food was so terrible and unappetizing that we couldn’t even finish our drinks. We walked away hungry and disappointed, feeling completely misled by the hotel and ripped off by the restaurant.
This was an awful dining experience. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant — especially if it’s being promoted by your hotel. Don’t...
Read moreA must-visit spot in Playa de Muro – amazing food & warm hospitality! Gust Restaurant was one of the best culinary surprises during our stay in Playa de Muro. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, with lots of natural light and a calm, elegant vibe — perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.
We were personally welcomed by the head chef, who greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel immediately comfortable. That kind of hospitality already set the tone for what turned out to be a wonderful meal.
As a starter, we were offered fresh bread with olive oil, green olives, and a creamy dip — a thoughtful touch that really elevated the experience. • The grilled octopus (pulpo) was tender, perfectly charred, and full of flavor. • The gnocchi in pumpkin sauce with roasted seeds was creative, balanced, and incredibly comforting. • The entrecôte steak was grilled to perfection, juicy and tender, served with crispy fries and a light touch of grated cheese. • The cheesecake was creamy and smooth — definitely one of the best we’ve had in the area. • And of course, we enjoyed it all with a glass of red wine and finished with a lovely café cortado.
Even if you’re staying at a nearby hotel and this restaurant is not part of your meal plan, I highly recommend dining here at least once. It’s totally worth the extra. The quality of food, the genuine service, and the peaceful ambiance make Gust one of the best price–performance options in the region.
Truly a place that combines passion and...
