A modern and well located hotel that provided a good 7 night stay for myself and 9 friends however is wasn’t without some teething problems, some of which are quite essential. Also note that this hotel is best for families and couples. Young groups and friends, especially those looking to drink, should look elsewhere. Ill explain more later on. Lets start with rooms. Don’t let the exterior of this hotel fool you, its undergone a full renovation with beautiful modern rooms that are clean with comfy memory foam-like mattresses and a large flatscreen TV. Id definitely recommend brining a streaming device as the only channel in english is the Disney channel and BBC news. The bathrooms were ok but i feel like they were missed in the renovation, their design was old and the shower seemed well used, however water pressure was incredible. The rooms contain aircon and a fridge however both seemed pretty weak. The room we were initially placed in had broken aircon, we were moved rooms after an unsuccessful attempt to fix it. Great customer service from reception. However the biggest problem with the rooms were that THE BALCONY DOORS DONT LOCK. All 4 of our rooms were on the ground floor with balconies that could have been climbed but the locks didnt work, this was kind of scary. Also the rooms are equip with safes however you need to pay at reception to activate them, this is expensive, ours came to €30 for the week. The hotel pool was great, heated and had plenty of loungers around, we were never left without somewhere to sit. You’re not allowed to use inflatable balls in the pool, even if you’re the only one in there. The mini golf was pretty poor, in-fact I didn’t see anyone use it that week. The tennis courts were in a great condition and we used them multiple times. They do cost and need to be pre-booked at reception Entertainment from the show crew was really great, karaoke was a blast, free to enter bingo was great and quizzes were also fun, they provided lots of memories for us. The food was pretty much what you’d expect from an all inclusive buffet. Salad bar, pastas, pizza, 2 main daily meals, a soup and a meat of the day on the grill. Was good to see some good meats including steak and fish on the grill. Theres probably something there you’d like however it wasn’t the biggest choice I’ve seen at other all inclusive hotels. Puddings were never anything of note, mainly jelly, a cake and ice cream. All the basic soft drinks are included in all inclusive, as well as one local spirits, a wine, a beer and then a few common cocktails from a machine. Branded alcohol and proper cocktails were available for a fee. Its worth noting that drinks come in a re-usable cup. You’ll need to pay €1 cash for a cup to use for the drinks (you get this back when you give them the cup back) but this also means you can only have one drink at a time so this system isn’t great for those looking to drink hard. The hotel guests are majority Spanish, not British so not all staff speak English and you wont meet many other groups if you’re looking to make friends. Many of the guests were also older and I’d describe many of them as Karen-like so we had many complaints over noise levels and other things. Dont come here to party. That being said, the hotel staff are SUPER CHILL and always helped us find new drinking locations where we wouldn’t disturb anyone. We visited during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hotel was very hot on making sure everyone was following strict rules. Enforced social distancing, mask mandates when in the building, gloves when serving food and we couldn’t sit together when eating. I felt very safe and I’m glad to say none of our group contracted the virus on our trip. (We were all double vaccinated.) The hotel is a fair walk from town centre and the beach, down a hill, meaning on the way back your quads will get a work out. It takes about 15 mins to get to town and 20-25 to get back. Overall we had a great trip but probably wouldn’t go back. Theres better hotels on the market for the money.

First of all, this company doesn’t seem to be doing anything about the reviews placed prior, since the problems addressed weeks and months ago haven’t been solved. Also the response seems automated. Now for my experience: After staying here for 5 nights, I’m glad I get to go home. This hotel isn’t even worth of 3 stars. The food is the most important here. I’ve had (like many others) food poisoning. The food they offer is bland, stale and at best just warm. They don’t really change anything throughout a week, and you really need to check if what you have is fully cooked. Like I said, I’ve had food poisoning because of this like many others before us!!! I also had problems with hair(s) in my food. Very poor quality food and hygiene here! The drinks are also very bad, almost no taste and not fizzy. Juices in the morning were like syrups, sometimes very strong, sometimes no taste at all. We ate somewhere else the last 2 days out of fear for more food poisoning. The restaurant itself is has a strange layout, the staff is alright. Also the restaurant looks like a glorified camping restaurant. The entertainment is horrible. We tried going for a swim but the water is so cold it’s impossible to stay in it longer than 5 minutes. We also weren’t even allowed to play with a ball or something in the pool, eventhough nobody was in it?! The ‘snacks’ at the bar outside is just a plain piece of white bread with some toppings like cheese and ham. To our amazement, we also had to pay a deposit for a plastic cup. Why do we pay for a cup that we don’t even take anywhere outside the hotel?! I know we get it back, but it’s just ridiculous! We wanted to order a cocktail, we got told we couldn’t. We booked ‘All inclusive’, but this seemed less ‘All inclusive’ in hindsight. You’re allowed basic drinks, everything else you need to pay for again?! The old lady at the bar outside is very rude and works very slowly, seems on purpose so you don’t order much. The bald guy working there also rude. About the room, it looked great on the pictures but they turned out opposite. The mattresses hard, the pillows super thin (took one of the decorative pillows to sleep properly) and 2 separate beds which was fine in this case. There is no sound isolation from the street or the top of the building, the sliding door in the room is from thin brittle aluminium. Windows super thin, can’t open or close them properly. At night there is a lot of noise from the top of the building and the front (2 bars that are located WITHIN the hotel, but you need to pay for when drinking there since they’re not owned by the hotel?!). Also people screaming in the street the entire time and stuff. The airconditioning just does whatever it feels like doing, we put it to cooling and the coldest, did anything but that. Literally useless, we were in luck we didn’t stay here during a hot period. The constant smell of cigarettes was horrible. We opened the sliding windows multiple times cause it wouldn’t properly cool down in the room, only to have a cigarette and weed smell come in almost constantly! The locker in the room didn’t work. Bathroom is dated and needs renovating. The door starting to absorb water and with mold at the bottom. Door handle felt like it would fall off any second. During our stay we also had staff knocking at our door multiple times, asking if someone was there. This happened over a course of several days. Strange. Facilities and layout in this hotel are opposite of logic and strange. This branche also got 2 hotels across the street and we could go there as well, just as horrible as this one though. Overall, do yourself a favour and stay FAR away from this hotel! And to BLUESEA; if you truly read these reviews and do something with them, respond to this review with something else then your automated message. I’ll contact the company we booked our trip with to remove BLUESEA from their website.

We have just returned from our 4 night holiday last week. We stayed in rooms 112 and 114, just to the side of reception. We went half board. I was a bit apprehensive about going as after booking, I looked at reviews and saw terrible reviews about theft, cold pools, crap food and entertainment etc. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were perfect for what we needed. Very clean and modern. We had balconys with sea views. The rooms have little fridges which was perfect for storing drinks etc. The balconys had a drying rack you could pull out to use to dry costumes/towels etc. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. We were not robbed, the cleaners came daily and made the beds, cleaned the floors and bathroom and replaced the dirty towels which we left in the shower each day. None of our personal items were ever touched or moved. The air conditioning is temperamental but with the balcony door ajar, the room was plenty cool to sleep. We were told we could go to the sister hotels for use of their pools etc but the pool at this hotel is by far the nicest and most aesthetic. However, it is cold. Really cold. I imagine in the heat of summer that would be marvellous but the kids were brave enough to stay in till they got used to it, which they did. No blue lips or shivering so not that bad. The food was absolutely fine. Not Michelin star but you've probably got yourself a bargain price and a cheap hotel so don't expect top notch. We had a vegetarian and a fussy eater with us and we managed just fine. Theres a salad bar with cheeses and meats. A pudding bar with lots of selection, a hot counter with anything from spag bog to chips and pizza to meats and pastas and fish etc. They definitely cater to the british I felt. Breakfast was really pleasant. All this is in a cafeteria feel restaurant but again, clean, well cooked with attentive staff. Our only negative was as we were half board, drinks weren't included with our evening meal which we weren't told and we got a couple of drinks in the smallest glasses and were promptly given a bill to pay of €6 for a beer or €3 for a fizzy. Again, very small glasses so not worth the price. Upon check in we were given some vouchers for some free cocktails on the rooftop bar. The rooftop bar is lovely, really nicely decorated, photo opportunities, music and lightening. Extensive list of drinks and cocktails which the staff were more than happy to make. We only tried the entertainment one night, we went down to the very bottom floor. Theres no atmosphere in the room, it's dingy and dark and we decided not to stay and headed to the rooftop. So I can't comment on the entertainment but the venue for it wasn't pleasant. Nearby to the hotel are plenty of shops for drinks, snacks and gifts etc. Some bars and restaurants. We hired a car as we ventured off to beaches, Loro Parque and Siam Park and Lago Martineaz pools but without a car, the hotel is ideally located with plenty near by and good connections to above places. Whilst away, it was valentines day and pancake day and the hotel went all out for this providing decorations, photo props/opportunities and themed food which we all enjoyed very much! Overall for the very reasonable price we paid, our expectations were exceeded. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.

Awful hotel - Head towel – I purchased a new head towel (turban) specifically for our holiday. This was taken from the towel rail in our room by the daily maid. I reported to reception who, not only offered no apology, but also didn’t seem to care. I followed up twice with reception and was offered no explanation or any kind of apology.|Noise – we have never stayed in a hotel as noisy, inside and outside. Doors slamming and shouting inside and outside. We were located by the shop and luggage store and had noise constantly. The pool noise level was also above the normal. At one point there were 2 speakers being used by the entertainment team that seemed to be in competition with each other, then the shouting of the activities and everyone else having to shout above it all! This was a daily occurrence.|Patio door – the door in our room was very difficult to close and seemed that, although some effort upgrading the décor, they’ve not looked at everything.|Leak – we had a leak coming from the ceiling and dripping all over the floor. My husband reported, I chased 20mins later to be told that the maintenance man was having his dinner. Again, no urgency or apology and was advised would be about 30mins. He did arrive and the leak was fixed, no checking in to ensure all ok afterwards or if we’d had any damage.|Food – The food was certainly nothing to write home about, I have never experienced somewhere where everything just seems to taste the same. We ended up spending additional funds to eat out. To add to this, there was an incident where the grill chef added raw chicken to the grill and then proceeded to use the same tongs to pick up cooked chicken to serve!! I refused and he seemed surprised; I did not want salmonella!!!!|Cups – we absolutely agree with the EcoCup rationale, but we brought our own plastic beakers and carrier so that disposable cups aren’t used and we don’t have to keep going up to bar. We were refused use of these. This seemed ridiculous as we actually witnessed people go up repeatedly in an hour time frame and fill water bottles up with drink and then pack up and go elsewhere.|Evening – There are no way near enough chairs for the evening and on the evenings we did go down (3 out of 11 nights), we and others had to sit on the sunbeds. We therefore had to pay to either go out to the local bar or visit the rooftop area and again pay extra.|Lunch – on arrival we were told you needed to go across the road to another hotel for lunch.|Air Conditioning – the AC in the room was terrible and not effective at all.|Bed – all 4 of our party found the beds very uncomfortable.|Information – the lack of information provided by the hotel was laughable. You get given a QR code which takes you to a website that literally just lists items with no option to delve deeper. It’s talking to others staying there that you find out about towels, mini-golf, tennis and the apparent bus you can get down to the beach.|Pool – the pool surround is an accident waiting to happen. The paving slabs are slimy and mossy like around a pond. The white grating was so damaged that there were warning triangular stands all around it and we witnessed 2 people actually put their feet through it. It’s comical that they do not allow inflatables in the pool, but drunk people being repeatedly served were able to be in there and jumping in and out without a word being said, just an accident waiting to happen.|Sunbeds – we have never laid on beds that were so uncomfortable. They need the tension adjusting or replacing. It got so uncomfortable that we actually purchased inflatable lilo to lay on for under our towel.| |In all the hotel proved to be a catalogue of one thing after another, resulting in our planned holiday to not be the relaxing get-away we wanted after working all year. My husband even looked at getting flights home a week into the holiday. Our experience is just that and others may not have experienced the same, or potentially could have experienced worse. We will never book a...

They do cost and need to be pre-booked at reception

Entertainment from the show crew was really great, karaoke was a blast, free to enter bingo was great and quizzes were also fun, they provided lots of memories for us.

(We were all double vaccinated.)

The hotel is a fair walk from town centre and the beach, down a hill, meaning on the way back your quads will get a work out. It takes about 15 mins to get to town and 20-25 to get back.

Overall we had a great trip but probably wouldn’t go back. Theres better hotels on the market...

First of all, this company doesn’t seem to be doing anything about the reviews placed prior, since the problems addressed weeks and months ago haven’t been solved. Also the response seems automated. Now for my experience:

After staying here for 5 nights, I’m glad I get to go home.

I’ll contact the company we booked our trip with to remove BLUESEA from...
