My partner and I had a 1 week stay mid January in this hotel. We booked this hotel based on the spa facilities including massages and the amazing sea views from the balcony. There were many pros to our stay, however unfortunately there were multiple cons that would prevent us coming back here in the future and ultimately outweighed the pros. Cons: On our arrival, although staff members were very friendly and welcoming, offering us welcome drinks, towels for our stay (a small charge was asked for these), information regarding the hotel (times for when facilities were open including the spa and restaurants), and where our room was located, when we got to our room, we realised that the balcony door was broken and therefore could not be locked. We informer the reception and a technician was sent to fix it. Although the technician arrived promptly, we had already had multiple delays with our flight and transfer, resulting in us arriving at the hotel several hours after we were supposed to, and we just wanted to get some sleep for an early start the next day. The second day we found ants in our room, however there were only a few so we left it and hoped they’d go away. The following day we found more ants in various places around our room. We contacted reception and a cleaner was sent to our room. Again, although they arrived promptly, she just sprayed the ants with insect repellent and left the dead ants in the room. It also left such a strong smell that we both had headaches and had to leave the room for a couple of hours despite keeping our balcony door open. When we asked about massage availability on our first day, the receptionist advised that we could book on the day or the day before because most of the time they have availability. When we went to book two massages we were told the next availability was 3 days later. But we had to have them at different time because they only have 1 therapist… in a hotel that is called Atlantic mirage suites and SPA!!! When the day arrived for our massages, my boyfriend was told on his arrival for his massage that they have had to cancel because the therapist was injured and the next availability was Wednesday. We went home on the Monday, so no other availability for a massage. Obviously we understood that accidents can’t be helped, but we would have liked a sincere apology or some sort of compensation like free access to the spa- which would have come in the offer for our massages we were paying for. We were asked to speak to the manager. The manager arrived and immediately she had her back up and was unreceptive to our queries. It was an immediate NO to free access to the spa even though it was only 15€ per person. I asked why they only had one therapist in a spa hotel and her reply; ‘I don’t have to explain that to you, that’s the way we run it here’. I knew I wasn’t getting anywhere with the spa facilities, thanks to the managers rude and dismissive tone, so I mentioned the issues we’d had previously with the door and ants, that we’d let go prior to this. She responded ‘ we don’t have ants in this hotel and it’s your word against ours that the door was broken’. I asked for some sort of compensation and her response was again, a firm NO. She advised that they hadn’t charged us for the massages we didn’t get and that was enough. I left feeling deflated and patronised from a manager where customer service should be paramount to her. Which obviously it wasn’t!! We paid half board, but wish we didn’t as we ate out most nights. Breakfast was the same 3 options everyday and evening meal was an assortment of bland meats and rice, spag Bol and pizza that didn’t alter much per night. All drinks had to be paid for also. Pros: The sea view from the balcony was stunning. All other staff members were very polite, friendly and helpful. Clean facilities Rooftop terrace with incredible panoramic sea views, sun loungers, hot tubs and snack bar. Unfortunately we...

I had a great stay at this hotel, to be honest what made it great was the view. The reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and check-in was smooth and efficient. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The WiFi was on and off not too great. We spent 4 days a 3 nights at this hotel.

The parking is alright, the hotel itself doesn’t have parking but there is quite a few parking spaces just outside. But they are always almost next to full. We’re so grateful we found parking all 4 nights we were there.

We arrived at 8:45pm, there was one parking space left, and we took it. We were checked in very quickly and as soon as we got to our room we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant as we didn’t want to lose are parking space for the night. The restaurant said last entry was at 9:15pm, so we reached the restaurant at 9:15pm on the dot and the waiter in the restaurant did not want to let us in.

We explained that we had just checked in, but the waiter was not having it. I brought up the fact that last entry is 9:15pm and it was 9:15pm which meant that we could enter. We didn’t want to dine in we just wanted something quick to eat as our flight was from 1:10pm and we haven’t had anything to eat since our flight.

The waiter had a lot of uncalled for attitude and after complaining the waiter let us in, which was wasting more time by the way and we went in and got a small plate of food. The selection was not great for dinner, and some of the food was stale and cold. The only thing that tasted nice was one of the pizzas and the salad. We left at 9:30pm as promised.

But we felt robbed, not for how little time we spent in there but for the fact that they charged us £45 over €52. For the little scraps that we picked up, we didn’t even want to eat at the hotel but time to was against us. Next time we’ll just have air for dinner, we’ve learnt our lesson.

The location was not really convenient for us as everything we planned was in the south of Tenerife. However it didn’t bother us as we hired a car and was able to go back and forth as we pleased. The placement of the hotel was amazing, it had a perfect sea view, there’s even a little alleyway by the side of the hotel that has beautiful orange and pink flowers and the sea in the background. Which quickly became our favourite spot for taking photos everyday.

The hotel had a nice big pool, rooftop jacuzzi, gym and a spa which unfortunately we didn’t get to see as the day we decided to staying in the hotel we misread the closing time, so we missed it. But we did get to enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi, a time was had. The hotel also had a bar on the rooftop and next to the pool outside.

Breakfast was not great, they had lots of options but I didn’t enjoy anything except the really thing pancakes that they made. They had fat pancakes and almost crepe like pancakes, the fat ones were horrible. Which is funny because they were made from the same batter but at least I found something to eat over the 3 mornings. Let me tell you I was not disappointment with those crepe pancakes I really enjoyed them.

In our room we had a balcony, which was our 2nd favourite spot to take photos, from the balcony you just had a huge great view off the sea, which was thoroughly enjoyed. The wardrobes had full length mirrors which were really appreciated and they had a his and her sink. The fridge in the room however, stank like fish, every time you opened it.

The lift was quite small, they took long to come and they also didn’t work logically. It’s a good thing we only were 2 floors above the entrance so we took the stairs majority of the time. In all honesty I would return to this hotel, because despite the minor flaws it...

A good spot for an adult only getaway. The hotel offers good amenities for a short holiday. It is also very close to a shopping centre with restaurants and a decent size supermarket, as well as within a walk’s distance from Puerto de La Cruz.

Positives Sea view in all rooms, which is spacious and fitted with fridge and microwave, as well as a small balcony and decent size bathroom with double sinks. Pool area is spacious and has enough seats and sun beds for everyone Rooftop is also spacious with plenty of large sun beds and great view to the sea, as well as 3 jacuzzi styled baths and food and drink to purchase Very quiet area with room to park car rentals (although it can be full in the evening time) 90% of the staff is extremely friendly and able to help in several different languages

Negatives Almost every room will have a shower drain problem, where the drain will clog with hair and overflow the bathroom with water running onto the bedroom. I raised this with reception twice, but the third time I had a “nothing we can do” attitude by the maintenance guy, where the advice is to shower with minimum water levels to avoid clogging. This was reported several times by many different guests during my 7-day stay. Wifi and data signal is absolutely terrible everywhere in the hotel except for reception (yes even on rooftop the wifi is bad), so if you are looking to have a call or even watch something on your laptop, you have to relocate to the 7th floor (reception) and sit there for signal. Dinner offers some good variety, but they are all tasteless with no flavour or even salt added to them - even the sauces were flavourless and didn’t add much to the food. Breakfast is the same vibe, where food is very focused on British style food, which is also very tasteless. Although the Spa is nice and modern, you need to pay €15 to enjoy for 2 hours, which is expensive considering the fact the spa is usually empty, so the hotel could offer the Spa facilities for an all day stay given they charge guests to enjoy the area. Some of the staff can be rude and dismissive, where I was told off for having missed my “ID card” on my first night (“ID Card” is the reception paper card they give you with the room key, which must be presented during dinner so staff knows if you’re on an all inclusive or half board catering). The hotel could rename this as an ID Card can refer to our passport or ID instead of the paper card they give us. I also forgot to bring the hotel towel to the pool area and I was told by the bar staff to leave immediately and only return with a pool towel, which was quite rude as the staff was dismissive and didn’t want to hear my “excuses”.

Overall I would give this hotel a miss and not return until the issues are resolved, as even though the staff and facilities were good, the negatives did have an impact on my stay. Finally, this area of Tenerife can be quite cloudy and foggy, which is not ideal for a...

In brief, great hotel and location, would reccomend. More detailed: We booked a bus transfer from the South airport to the hotel, it took about an hour. Late checking in around 11pm however warm welcome and they had pre prepared us a food plate selection which was nice as we were hungry after our flight being delayed 2 hours. Room safe was approx 18 euro for the week which was well worth it and easy to use. You have to deposit 20 euro for 2xbeach towels to use at the pool, which you get refunded on check out. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. It had a fridge with mini freezer, microwave and kettle. We bought a crate of water bottles to keep cool in the fridge along with some snacks so it came in really handy. There is a hairdryer and a super big bed. We got top floor 9 which had a good size balcony with a beautiful view down to the sea, great to chill with crisps and a can of Fanta! Everything is included for breakfast including drinks like orange juice and coffee. For lunch you can go to the roof bar but is pricey, I'd reccomend a 5 minute walk inland where there are a few cafes and shops. Evening meal a waitress takes your drinks order and you pay when you walk out at the end. They have a chef on each night where they have various fish and meat they cook for you. Was great when they had sirloin steaks and chicken on! We paid approx 6 euro every night for a beer and sprite. There is then the bar on the roof terrace in the evening with a great selection of drinks and stunning views. For a cocktail and beer was around 15 euro It's a short walk down to the town centre approx 10 minutes walk then it's about 6 euro for a taxi back which is well worth it. We hired a car from Chloe Excersions, prices were clear and had a few options. We had a Skodia Fabia for 2 days at about 90 euro with no deposit needed. Would recommend this to make the most of your visit to explore the island. It was 40 degrees and at one point 45, aircon was working its magic as it was difficult to spend 5 minutes out in the sun! You will find it difficult to get a parking space at the hotel, but you can eventually find a space on the surrounding roads. You can catch a bus to santa cruz. The buses are air conditioned which was a must as the temperature was nearly in the 40's. This return for 2 of us cost around 18 euro. They have a secure room for baggage storage on check out. If checking out late, you can book a time slot in the spa for a shower, they provide towels, however it is VERY warm in the changing rooms so you end up sweating as soon as you're out the shower.

Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with the choice of this hotel. It wasn’t a vacation, but some kind of absurd situation that got worse every day. The hotel, which claims to be 4 stars, barely deserves 2 stars. I’ll start by saying that upon check-in, we were given room 603. As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a constant hum that never stopped. In the reviews here, I found information that this is a permanent problem. We approached the reception asking to change the room, but we were offered either to pay an extra 15 euros per night for a room on the 9th floor or to move to room 102 (which was probably the shadiest and had an incomplete view). The staff refused to show us the rooms, saying that once we enter the room, they would have to clean it. We decided to pay extra to avoid any further issues, but it’s quite strange that we had to pay for peace and quiet since the rooms didn’t differ in any way. At the same time, the staff is well aware of the issues in the rooms on the 6th floor. The rooms have tile floors, but there is no option to get disposable slippers. A bathrobe here is a service that costs 15 euros. For toiletries, there are 2 bars of soap and a nameless 2-in-1 shampoo/shower gel. Beach towels require a deposit of 10 euros. The room has a microwave, fridge, kettle, and cups, but no plates, forks, or even tea bags. Buffet. Breakfast ends at 10:30, dinner at 21:15. However, cleaning starts half an hour before. Once we came for breakfast at 9:40 and wanted to sit closer to the window, where it was a little quieter. A staff member rudely approached my husband, indicating that we couldn’t sit at that table because it was already set up for dinner (there were two glasses on it). She pointed to a free table near the coffee machine, where there was a never-ending queue. Since the hall is small and there are many guests, relaxation is impossible. It’s very noisy. The food quality also leaves much to be desired. A lot of cold and low quality dishes. There were other small things (bad toilet flush, unnecessary reminders about the check-out, etc.), but it doesn't matter at all compared to the feeling that you weren't expected here... Pros of this hotel: Great view; Comfortable large beds and clean rooms. Unfortunately, we didn't try the pools because, out of the 3 days, they were closed for 2 days due to weather conditions. Conclusion: I would rather spend 180 euros per day elsewhere... Tenerife has plenty of places with excellent views at more reasonable prices. Don’t overpay for the service that’s not even here.

In all honesty I would return to this hotel, because despite the minor flaws it was not bad.
