The Fat Ladies at Café Sandra — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

I changed my 5 star review to 4 stars. It's such a shame.

After the last visit, I was not well treated by a female employee who seemed to be extremely stressed out and super annoyed with me. Just with me because the regular customers were getting all smiles and respectful attention. I am a Latina colored woman. She is a local and looks around 40 plus.

She spilled my drink on my table and got extra annoyed with me when I asked a male colleague for a cloth to dry the table off myself.

I wasn't bothered by her attitude at all until she shouted angrily at her colleague! "Ya Señora. Ya voy¡" while asking for the table cloth after waiting for her, to clean up the table herself.

I have never been treated so rudely in the former Color Café or in this bar by any of the owners or employees. Until last Sunday!

Overall they hire friendly staff. It is located in the La Paz area. It's decorated in such an original way. It's still definitely worth a visit. I will go back.

I only ever order simple beverages. I don't drink alcohol but they have a very large choice indeed. I visited during the evening again. Great ambiance. I didn't order food. They don't serve anything else but peanuts.

The peanuts were great! My celebration that night was because of a special occasion because I had bought a book for myself, to read while ordering drinks.

Even though I had a negative experience once, I was very well treated by the owner and the rest of the staff. All male. I never have issues with male staff.

Thanks to Gudny, I found this hotspot. I am happy to visit anytime...

I had an amazing breakfast at this café, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great start to their day. The English breakfast was perfectly prepared, with every component cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the flavorful sausages and the eggs done just right. I also tried the continental breakfast, which was equally delightful – fresh pastries, aromatic coffee, and a variety of fruits that were both refreshing and satisfying.

The service was quick and efficient, ensuring we didn’t have to wait long, even during a busy morning rush. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every dish was generously portioned and felt like it was prepared with care and attention to detail.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be coming...

Our home from home during our holiday to Puerto de la Cruz in May. The owner, Becky, somehow remembered us from our visit a whole year before... now that's a welcome! Was very nice to see you again and glad to see the bar doing so well.

Here you'll find good drinks, good music and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. There's beer on draft, a big range of gins and spirits, big cocktail menu and local wine from La Orotava just up the road. You'll even find multi-coloured lamps on the tables to amuse your inner child.
