This is truly the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I came to Seville at the end of February with a group of friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. There were 9 of us that stayed across 6 rooms in total. Everything was absolutely brilliant! The hotel was the perfect blend of stylish and chic whilst still maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything required for a long weekend away. I was in an 'economy double', but the room actually felt quite large and with a separate bathroom which was also very spacious. The bed and pillows were SO comfortable...my only regret is that I didn't go to bed earlier and spend more time sleeping!
The location of the hotel was amazing - in a quiet little street just around the corner from Alameda de Hercules with several lovely neighbourhood restaurants and bars. Everywhere you would want to explore in Seville was within walking distance - no more than about 25 mins in all directions.
We had the buffet breakfast twice during our stay. The options were plentiful with both cold continental and hot breakfast options available. The scrambled eggs were delicious and the coffee was top quality.
Finally, I can't leave a review without mentioning the absolutely amazing staff. Such a wonderful team of people who excelled at making sure our stay was comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. From the little welcome notes in our room, to accommodating us all together as a large group for a late breakfast, and even communicating in Spanish with our Uber driver when he got lost on the way to pick us up. The staff literally went above and beyond at every point to give us such brilliant service.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and cannot wait to stay here again when I return to Sevilla for another visit.
Thank you so much to Pauline and all the wonderful team! You made my birthday weekend...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel for five nights and had a truly wonderful and memorable time! The rooms and communal spaces look exactly like the pictures and the service was excellent.
The service was very welcoming at reception when we arrived. I mentioned an interest in history in passing and was given tips of places to look that were not obvious attractions in Seville. The service remained excellent for our whole stay.
We stayed in the duplex suite (this wasn't available on external sites when I booked, only on the hotel official website) which was perfect. However, I wouldn't book if I was elderly or disabled as there are stairs to get to the terrace and upper lounge but it was great for me and my partner. The bed was soft and very comfortable and everything was very clean. I felt it was a stylish and luxurious suite that was worth the money I paid. It would benefit from a kettle and coffee cups though.
The pool is lovely but they could do with a few more deck chairs to keep up with the demand. It doesn't open until 11am but closes late (9ish). It's a lovely place for a dip while relaxing in the Seville heat.
Location wise it is very good for food away from the tourist areas. There is a square nearby with lots of options and a very good (if a little pricey) icecream parlour just around the corner. It is however a bit of a walk to some of the key sites, especially in the heat. It will probably take 20mins to the cathedral and 40mins to the plaza espagne. We didn't mind because it helps explore the city but worth considering.
I was very happy with my decision to book this hotel. Service and quality of the room were perfect and I will likely book to stay in the companies other hotels in other Spanish cities or this one if I return to Seville!
Top Tip: book your room through the official website for the best price and more room options rather than through an...
Read moreI checked into this hotel at 4:45 pm on Oct. 4th. On entering my room, I use the washroom. When I went to leave the washroom, I founf out that the mechanism was broken and I was locked in the bathroom. As I was travelling by myself, (my daughter was to arrive from Madrid later that night, lucky for me) my only option was to try to get out myself. I used a few of my makeup and cosmetics tools to try to pick to door mechanism apart. After half an hour or so, I realized the only way I was getting out was if someone helped me. I started pounding on the bathroom door, the exterior wall and standing on the toilet and yelling for help (into the vent in the ceiling). I screamed for help and pounded for over 3 hours straight, I cut my hand trying to take the lock apart and burst blood vessels in both my hands from pounding the walls and door. It was not until my daughter arrived after 8pm and alerted hotel staff that I got out. But only after they tried in vain to get me out and then advised me that they had to call a locksmith/maintenance man who lived in a town 40 kms away. In the end he had to break the door open to get me out. They offered me nothing until a day later when I inquired and asked how the hotel planned to handle what had happened. The hotel manager was extremely rude and her exact words were "We're sorry, I mean, this doesn't happen often but it's normal." Normal? Normal for people to get locked in their malfunctioning bathrooms for hours on end? Had my daughter not arrived I would not have gotten out until cleaning staff entered my room. As compensation they said the most they could offer was a free breakfast on my last morning there. I had photographic evidence if the broken and bloodied door as well as the injurieds to my hands and they gave me a free breakfast. Horrible, horrible experience and equally horrible...
