While visiting Valencia on vacation I attended Synergym as well as this CrossFit gym at a time when it was open box and you can just show up and do your own thing. I don’t know why both gyms use this 14x14 inch squishy rubber flooring that is not level and makes it hard to balance while lifting heavy weight. It’s not good flooring! I liked that they had plenty of Olympic weight plates of the same size (unlike synergym). I basically just wanted barbells and free weights to do a powerlifting style of training, and since there are no powerlifting gyms in Valencia I figured I could accomplish what I needed to at a CrossFit gym. The signup process for a day pass was super easy and fast (unlike synergym; feel free to read my synergym review on Google maps.) They take cash or card unlike synergym which only took cards. The woman who helped me was very nice. I think the day pass was around 15 euros instead of about 8 euros at synergym and syngergym has a lot more machines and equipment and is larger, so some people might get more bang for the buck at synergym. The couple of issues that annoyed me besides the squishy rubber floor were little things but still bugged me regardless. The 10 or so shirtless guys there doing their own thing during this open box period were speaking Spanish really fast and having fun and bro-ing out while lifting which is totally fine and didn’t bother me, but then they start doing stuff in the area that I’m lifting and distracting me. I have fairly small calves (genetics suck) and a decently built upper body and could tell that they were making fun of me despite not speaking the language because they were pointing at each other’s calves and flexing and stuff. So that did not make me feel very welcome. The second annoying thing was that I had turned on a fan (it was summer and hot) right near where I was squatting and deadlifting, and about 10-15 minutes into my workout some guy just flipped the fan off. My only guess was that the noise from the fan was preventing them from hearing the little beeping on the wall clock timers for whatever weird CrossFit stuff they were doing, but it still seemed inconsiderate since I was in my own little space trying to complete my workout and I paid to be there just like they did even though I’m not a local. So that didn’t make me feel very welcome either. I’m sure that I’m blowing this out of proportion or being a little too sensitive, but those two things together just made me want to finish my workout and get the heck out of there because even though I shouldn’t have needed to feel “in the way,” for their activities, that’s how I kept feeling. If you’re looking for a CrossFit specific gym and located nearby, I guess it’s fine. But if you want a bigger gym with more cardio equipment and strength machines besides barbells and free weights and better locker rooms and a lower price, etc. then I would just go to synergym. There are a fair number of other gyms in the area but those two just happened to be close to my location. I would be interested to see if the other gyms in the area had those stupid 14x14 inch rubber tiles that are not level and if they had more space and better equipment, etc. but can’t comment on that bc I only attended these 2 gyms during my trip. It would be great if someone would open a powerlifting focused gym...

Been coming here since April '18. Staff is well read (Edu is just great) and will introduce you to the lingo and the technique based on your knowledge, physical condition and experience. They have a flexible calendar, with courses already at 7am, and well into the evening. No dedicated nutritionist, which is a bummer, but google is your friend. Equipment is generally in good shape and facilities in working order. There's also a good male-female ratio, to my surprise. As for the sport itself, I guess it depends on one's preferences. There's a free tryout class if you want to...

Spent a month in Valencia and this was my go-to box. Great coaching, owner who cares about his gym, and friendly welcoming members. I'll be back in September! Also - clean gym and I'm a great neighborhood. Anyone in VLC should spend some...
