Little Thai Ruzafa — Restaurant in Valencia

On the good side, the staff are very friendly, and the place is rather inexpensive.

The food though has very little to do with Thailand. I have been to Thailand and have had good Thai food in other places. This is not it!

I have ordered curry. They only had yellow curry (you usually find red and green varieties as well in Thai restaurants). And when they brought it, it was not a Thai yellow curry anyway. It was prepared without coconut milk and it had none of the delicate flavors of Thai curry. It basically felt like some supermarket curry powder mixed with water. And they used silken tofu as opposed to fried firm tofu, which is what you would expect in a Thai curry.

My friend had Pad Thai noodles that tasted ketchupy.

I really wanted to like it because it seems like a nice place but...

On Wednesday’s it’s 5,50€ a plate !!! Can’t beat the price. Quantity is big enough for two if you eat in small portions. I had the pad Thai and that was good, I ordered medium spicy 🌶 too, if you don’t ask for spicy you don’t get spicy. My kids ordered pork/pineapple and rice (the picture at the restaurant on the paper place mats the first one), they picked teriyaki sauce to go with the pork instead of sweet and sour (not sure if sweet and sour was offered), the pork is battered and fried in cubes. I didn’t like their choice of that pork dish.

The salad of papaya is not original(the original papaya salad should use green papaya if u had been Thailand to try it in any place. i never see Thai food use papaya with orange color ),but the coco soup is really tasty which mix with rice. the steam rice cooked very well. thanks cook took away meat from my soup so for the vegetarian also can enjoy food here.

the waitress was very friendly to reminder me there was enough quantity of salad Papaya for one. she was worried if we order too much to waist the food. i liked this detail. we were lucky to have their Wednesday offering “Miercoles plata 5.5 euros”.
