I want to be bold and conscious with his review. Firstly I'm mexican 🌮🌯 so I know how difficult had been for our compatriots went overseas and succed. In other words, they're an example of life.
However in this occasion I must be coherent with what I've experienced. In spite I've had the great opportunity to spoke with the owner and chef José Gloria to express my opinion, and as might be expected he gave back some unreasonable answers.
Summary I ate a "gringa filled with -pastor- meat" and a "taco campechano" accompanied with a fizzy drink, afterwards I didn't feel attracted to eat anything else or come back ever.
The reasons are plenty and I'm gonna dive into it. -the seasoned pastor 🍖 meat was tasteless.
-once again certain pieces of the meat were uncooked with too many fat. It's pork meat, for our own sakes shouldn't be like this. Despite the fact that I asked when I ordered to place the meat a bit longer on the grill.
-The size of the "gringa" was arguably small, yet that's subjective Quote:the gringas are traditionally served/made with flour tortillas not with corn tortillas
-The guacamole on the top...although the avocado is a very noble fruit who has many possibilities inside of a kitchen all over the world. In this case went by unnoticed
-It's important to mention that I'm against wasting main dishes, garnishes or any kind of food so should exist a balance between give a taste to customers and give for free something So on I believe is inappropriate to pay for each chilli sauce regardless weren't in a wine degustation or a cheese sensory assessment. Humbly, I strongly believe there should exist a different proposal to give the opportunity to the customers to try specific sauces in order to have their own choice to pay for an extra ration.
-the flavour of the taco was disappointing as well as the previous dish. Because the menu description was clearly mentioning potatos, chistorra, meat, green pepper and I'll come back to this pork cracklings Turn's that I just found that the taco was filled with a sort of potato pure with a flavour of something not close to meat mix with pepper and the other ingredients I mentioned before. People who genuinely cook will know what I'm talking about.
-overrated prices compared with other mexican places that could be their direct competitors.
-coming back to the pork cracklings I'm sorry about to mention it, without being disrespectful but they're the cheapest of their kind that I can't get a full plastic bag for 90¢ in the local spanish supermarket Cosum. In other words it could be better to not place them over the taco.
If I shall rescue 2 positive things are: -the consistence and flavour of the corn tortillas are well done -the atmosphere combined with the architectural finishes inside of the restaurant gives you a cozy welcome
-Conclusion- The only thing which reminds me of Mexico my country of origin of this restaurant "La llorona" were the lime and the salt I poured over my meal. Anything else :( La llorona Russafa restaurant, it's far away from the intangible diversity and flavours declare international heritage by the UNESCO in 2010. (They've a...

We stumbled across La Llorona purely by accident as a taco place we’re intending to visit for lunch was closed (when it was listed as open.) but thank god we did! Amazing.
We were seated straight away. And chose just to have tacos. We selected three tacos each from the menu and they came out incredibly quickly.
Every single one was SO tasty but the carnitas was a clear standout. So much so, we ordered more. The fish taco was also delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The flavours spoke to to authentic Mexican, with authentic ingredients but with a modern twist. No sour cream and lashings of cheddar here.
Yes, the prices here are higher but worth every penny. We eat a lot of Mexican food and I HIGHLY recommend...
