A beautiful setting – but service that fell far below international standards

I travel frequently – and certain destinations have become part of my rhythm: Marbella, Monte Carlo, London, Dubai. I appreciate places that combine design, discretion and dignified service. My lifestyle – and my Black & White aesthetic – carries a certain expectation. Not of extravagance, but of elegance with ease. Estimar Hotel in Valencia is, architecturally, a true gem. Perfectly located on one of the city’s most beautiful plazas, its rooftop terrace promises a refined experience – Mediterranean, modern, curated. But what we experienced on a Thursday night around 10 PM was, quite honestly, unlike anything I’ve encountered elsewhere. My friend and I ordered a bottle of rosé. The waiter brought it with two wine glasses completely covered in water stains – dull, foggy, and visibly unpolished. When I addressed it (politely), he began to argue instead of correcting the issue discreetly. Eventually, he brought clean glasses – but without a single word, without eye contact, and with a demeanor that made us feel distinctly unwelcome. Let me be clear: I have dined in many places around the world – and I have never experienced such defensive, ungracious service at a rooftop that positions itself in the premium category. It’s a shame – because the setting has true potential. But design alone is not enough. Hospitality is about presence, not just presentation. And above all: The guest is not the problem. The guest...

We stayed here for 4 nights in October '24. It was the first time we'd visited Valencia and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel was only opened in May of this year and the fit and finish of the interior design work is excellent. The rooms, the public areas, the restaurant and the rooftop bar and sun bed area were all really lovely. The hotel is positioned really well for exploring Valencia, it's quiet yet close to many of the places you'd like to visit. We walked everywhere and it was a pleasure to do so. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts were surprisingly extensive and very good with all the usual things laid out buffet style and a good range of cooked to order hot food. What made it extra special for us was the staff. The team at the hotel were exceptional. We have stayed at a fair few five star hotels around the world and the service we received was better than in most of them! They are a lovely group of people. The icing in the cake is that they have a sister hotel on the coast and a minibus shuttle service to take you to and fro, so we spent a day there. That hotel opened in June this year and was similarly lovely. Giving us nit just a city break but a bit of beach holiday too. We had a fabulous time and I'm pretty sure you would too. The hotel, it's position and it's super staff will ensure you thoroughly enjoy your stay...

Stayed here for 3 nights and could not fault the hotel at all! It was brilliant along with all the staff!||Some key points that others may find useful when deciding to book:||- The location is perfect, right in the centre and walking distance to the key areas plus easy access to metro.||- from airport, don’t worry about getting taxi, just jump on metro, it super easy and cheap.||The hotel is modern and clean.|Was overwhelmed with the amount of facilities in the hotel room, it was like opening a treasure chest, for example: hair straighteners, umbrella, picnic blanket, steamer, toothbrush & paste, pillow spray, chocolates, biscuits and so much more… it was endless!||- Some which was so well thought out was at night when you get up in the dark, there is little lights under the bedside table so when you move these come on so you can see where you are going!||- Staff were super attentive and very helpful! Provided recommendations.||- There is a roof top bar but we didn’t spend much time there as there is so many wonderful places to visit in Valencia.||A tip for anyone reading this, would highly recommend doing the food and wine culture tour on Viator with Indulge Spain!||Thank you for such a...

We LOVED this hotel. We had a Junior Suite and we felt like we were in an apartment, very spacious. The amenities are top notch. AC was great and appreciated it since Valencia was very hot and humid! I told them before we arrived we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and when we arrived we had a bottle of Cava, delicious desserts and a beautiful note welcoming us. Great espresso machine which we used every morning! They restock the free waters too which you makes a difference. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and we slept so well. We had a nice view of the city. Housekeeping staff was wonderful, always smiling, acknowledging us and accommodating our requests. The entire hotel was super clean; you can tell they take pride in this place. It's close to the main streets but tucked away one or two blocks and the noise cancels out, which is what we wanted after walking all day for hours. The lobby was nice, chill and great service from their bartenders. The rooftop is also worth checking out and having a drink. They shut down at 10PM which we also appreciate unlike other hotels that can have music until midnight. I can't say enough great things about this place. We'll be back for sure!
