The food was really nice. Different from many traditional menu del Dias. Duck croquet was a stand out and nice dessert options too.

The service (Jose) was horrible. We waited 35 mins to order and another 10 to get drinks. Every time he came by he would giggle and say oh sorry like he forgot we were sitting there. There was a 20 minute wait between finishing the starter and getting the main. Then we had to ask to order dessert by flagging him down. By the time we had waited almost another half hour for the check I simply went in to pay.

We spent 2.5 hours here for a menu del dia lunch (no paella or rice ordered) simply bc we couldn’t get any attention, even we we try to call him over he would say 1 moment and come back 10-15 mins later.

Sehr geehrtes Tagomago-Team,

normalerweise schreibe ich keine Reklamationen, aber in diesem Fall ist es mir ein Anliegen, Ihnen ein ehrliches Feedback zu geben.

Mit großen Erwartungen habe ich Ihr Restaurant besucht, doch leider wurde ich enttäuscht – es war in vielerlei Hinsicht eher ein Cafeteria-Erlebnis als ein hochwertiger Restaurantbesuch. Als jemand, der selbst aus der Gastronomie kommt, bin ich besonders sensibel für solche Erfahrungen: Ich war fünf Jahre lang Markenbotschafter des Weinguts Ramón Bilbao in der Schweiz, wo meine Kunden ausnahmslos Top-Gastronomiebetriebe und Michelin-Restaurants waren. Auch hier in Valencia führen Sie Ramón Bilbao – umso bedauerlicher, dass Ihr Service diesem Niveau nicht gerecht wurde.

Schon beim Empfang begann das Chaos: Niemand war am Eingang, also nahm ich selbst draußen Platz und wartete rund zehn Minuten. Dann kam eine äußerst arrogante Kellnerin (vermutlich aus Lateinamerika), die mich ohne jede Freundlichkeit aufforderte, sofort aufzustehen – der Tisch sei reserviert. Ein Reservierungsschild war jedoch nirgends zu sehen, was das Ganze umso absurder machte. Statt mich höflich umzusetzen, wurde ich unfreundlich weggeschickt und gebeten, drinnen zu warten – wieder etwa zehn Minuten.

Schließlich wurde ich dann doch draußen platziert, also völlig unnötiges Hin und Her. Als es ans Bestellen ging, wurde ich gleich zu Beginn in herablassendem Ton darüber informiert, dass ich Vor- und Hauptspeise bestellen müsse – ich könne nicht einfach "nur so" da sitzen. Auch das ist für ein gehobenes Restaurant nicht akzeptabel, vor allem nicht bei diesem Tonfall. Ich hatte übrigens in den letzten zehn Tagen kein Mittagessen unter 300 CHF – also nicht gerade das Profil eines "Schnäppchen-Gastes".

Ich bestellte dann nur das Nötigste, da ich wegen der Kinder etwas essen wollte – kein Dessert, keine Flasche Wein, einfach nur schnell essen und wieder gehen. Bei diesem unprofessionellen Service hatte ich keinerlei Lust, mich länger aufzuhalten. Ein Glas Wein, der Rest dann eben woanders. Essen bestellt , aber keine Besteck ...alles Kalt gegessen bis die das bringen ...

Das Essen war tatsächlich sehr gut, auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist fair – aber das allein reicht nicht. Ein gut laufendes Lokal darf sich nicht auf seinem Ruf ausruhen und dabei arrogantes, ungeschultes und chaotisch organisiertes Personal tolerieren.

Ich möchte niemanden persönlich nennen – leider war niemand im Service wirklich sympathisch oder engagiert. Und nein: Ich werde nicht wiederkommen. Und ich werde es auch nicht weiterempfehlen – weder meinen über 1.000 Kontakten hier in Valencia noch...
