Please don't ever make the mistake of booking this hotel. All of their so-called non-smoking rooms smell of smoke. I wanted a non smoking room because my father is a heart patient but this is wbag we got. And the rooms are very noisy, you hear all the noise from the next door. Extremely noisy. The boy at the reception is very unprofessional. He has no manners or the etiquette to welcome a guest and he is rude. The bell man has more sense that the boy at the reception/concierge. I was very disappointed during my 2 day stay there. I was waiting for the 2 days to be over soon so badly coz I was so disgusted by their service and they said they cannot refund any payment made even if we didn't stay for the whole of 2 days. And not forgetting to mention, they did offer to change the room but that room again too had complete smoke smell by the evening, and had so much noise coming from the next doors and for worst of all, the bathroom water was not draining. It was DISGUSTING. They fixed it in the morning of the next day though. I felt that was not a hotel it was like a "petti Kade" to be honest. It's one of the WORST places I have ever stayed at. Trust me you will regret it if you stay in this place. There are 4 star and 5 star hotels in Colombo that you can stay for at for this SAME price with obviously way better and proper...
Read moreI stayed here for a night with my friend where I had to leave early morning for a work. We had to enter the hotel by ourselves opening the door, no one liked to assist us until we speak them. The receptionist who checked in us was okay but not so professional at work and never explained my reservation. I had to question them to find out. Lift and the corridor was smelling lucky the room was not. Room was good very clean but the walls need a good maintenance and the mini bar too. Room was packed. Breakfast served at their sister hotel was good. A senior citizen was a assistance who was so polite and chef who was so kind to complete my request. And the swimming pool was at their sister hotel too. Pool was very nice and clean of-cause the pool attendant was very friendly. They don’t have a very good communication in between their hotels. Pearl city told us it’s okay to take a guest to the Swimmingpool and when I wanted to pay they refused. But again when we were having a swim the Fom of pearl grand Gayantha was like we do a crime and was so rude, informed us through the pool guy that we have to pay. It’s all okay but most of the staff here doesn’t look pleasant as hoteliers. The hotel was really okay just for a night. I will recommend this place only for a rush night not for leisure. Thank you team...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Pearl City Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The location is excellent—tucked in a quieter part of the city yet conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and key landmarks. The hotel offers a clean and modern ambiance with friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay.
My room was spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials including a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a clean bathroom. I particularly appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable throughout the property.
The on-site restaurant served a good variety of local and international dishes. The breakfast buffet was fresh and filling, with attentive service. I also appreciated the 24-hour front desk and room service, which added to the convenience.
While it’s not a luxury resort, Pearl City Hotel is perfect for business travelers, solo tourists, or couples looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Colombo. Overall, I would highly recommend it for its cleanliness, service quality, and...
