We have stayed 1 night there. The location is convenient and just next to the main walking street in Galle fort, and there are many restaurants, shops and cafés nearby.||||We have been arranged to stay in their new building, which the entrance area is still under maintance. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Our twin room is nicely decorated, the air-con worked well, but we have to close the windows all the time so that to have more privacy, as the room is located at the ground floor and the guests of the other rooms and staff will pass through our windows if they go back to their room or to the kitchen. ||||The beds are comfortable but with few ants, and there is stain on the blankets. Actually there are many ants in the room…||||The toilet is spacious, but only fixed shower head is available, no hand shower. The deep green-colored towels are damp. ||||No bottle water is provided, that is good and we appreciated it, but we have tried to use their kettle, and there is a thick layer of dirt on the boiled water, even we have cleaned it before use. So we gave up. That means you must buy bottle water or walk to the main building to get drinking water, but remember to ask for hot water, otherwise they just give you tap water. ||||The breakfast is served at the front of the room, it simple and good, we specially like the fresh fruits and juice, but for USD 100 a night, we are a little bit disappointed about the cleanness...
Read moreLoved our stay here! We stayed for 4 nights as our private villa was double booked and we ended up with no where to stay and I am so glad now that it happened as this was by far a better location and nicer place than where our agent had originally placed us and for less!|The location is perfect, best location in Galle Fort. Right by the sea for sunset & a beautiful cool breeze. And Pedlar Street has by far the best boutiques, shops, cafes & restaurants in the whole place so you are located perfectly.|We had both upstairs room for us and our teenage son and both were clean, lovely and comfortable. I had a better night sleep than in many of the 5 star resorts we’ve stayed in.|Breakfast was served at another villa 30 seconds around the corner at a choice of your time and it was the most beautiful breakfast we’ve had in our month in Sri Lanka. So much food and all freshly prepared infront of you by their lovely chef who is so smiley, kind and thoughtful. So much breakfast we couldn’t eat lunch until 3pm each day thereafter! |All of the staff couldn’t do more for you ie if you needed a tuk tuk it would be arranged, we were given a list of things to do in and out of Galle. Nothing was too much trouble.|We would highly recommend staying here and would 100% stay here again if we come back to Sri Lanka. |Thank you all for making our stay so...
Read moreWe stayed upstairs in the guest house in 2 adjacent rooms. The set up (one room for 2 & one for 3) suited our family of five. Both rooms faced onto a first floor balcony with views of Pedlar Street & the nearby fort ramparts. We stayed for 3 nights & would love to have stayed for more. The rooms including ensuite bathrooms were spacious & the interiors well designed with a classic colonial feel. There was a welcoming young attendant allocated to the guest house to assist with security, room service & luggage. We initially checked in & ate breakfast each morning in a larger related guest house in Parawa Street (Parawa House). The remaining staff were based there. All the staff were professional, friendly, & knowledgeable about both the guest house & Galle Fort generally. We were kindly given sightseeing & shopping suggestions. Just around the corner from the main guest house, we had the best of both worlds - our privacy, a wonderful position at the quiet ocean end of one of the main streets for cafes/shops, not to be repeated views & incredibly attentive service. Our upstairs rooms were probably unique in Galle Fort. We felt like we were guests in a beautifully cared for home. The views from our balcony over the ocean at sunset were spectacular & they are not directly available at the main guest house. Thank you again to...
