Location is very near Jiaoxi Train station - 5 minutes walk. It is also near the Bus transfer station. Staff can pick you up. There are U Buses and Kamalan buses going to Jiaoxi from the airport terminal and Taipei respectively. Good base to explore Jiaoxi, Toucheng, Yilan and Luodong. The breakfast buffet spread has a range of local and international dishes with a DIY orange juice machine, huge cheese tub, honeycomb, soup noodles station and ice cream. The staff is very attentive and prompt. The menu is the same every day but the spread is good for a few days stay. There is a large children's playground with giant slides with warm water. Colours a bit faded due to outdoor weathering but still well maintained. There is a jacuzzi and water pipes massage section which was really good, and more than 15 flavoured hot and cold spring pools, fish doctor pool as well as sauna and flavoured steam rooms. The herbal and peppermint steam rooms were quite an experience! Yukata, towels and slippers provided for adults and children hotel guests. Bring your own swim suit and swim caps. Non hotel guests can pay to use these facilities too and there are staff on duty to ensure safety. No photography in general for privacy. A private bathtub with hot spring water is also available in the room. Staff goes around regularly to top up the pools with essential oil and pouring actual red wine into the pools - Red wine, Bubblegum, Sulphur, Coffee, Lemongrass, Rose, Lavender, Milk, Charcoal, Aloe Vera, Oolong tea, original hot spring, normal temperature and 2 cold pools. On top of these, there are electric cars, PS racing, Nintendo Switch games and ball pit play areas for children.

Our stay at the hotel was overall very enjoyable. The spa and sauna are fantastic – clean, relaxing, and well-maintained. Breakfast was a real highlight, with an incredible variety of options. It’s almost overwhelming how much there is to choose from – you’ll want to try everything! That said, a few things could be improved. We tried to extend our stay and were surprised by how much higher the new prices were compared to our original booking. There was no effort to explain or offer any flexibility, which felt a bit off-brand for a hotel of this level. Communication was also a challenge – the staff’s English wasn’t strong enough to clarify the situation, which added to the frustration. For an international hotel, this really needs attention. On the bright side, the hotel offers excellent parking – spacious and convenient. A great place for comfort and relaxation, but the guest experience would really benefit from better communication and a more customer-friendly approach at the front desk.

Paradise for kids under 12. Room- spacious, indoor hot spring tub, and filled with free snacks and soft drinks. Accommodations- outdoor spa with at least 12 different types of “flavors” including regular hot spring, red wine, hot spring fish, lemongrass, tea, milk, and more. Steam room included as well. Kids activities- reservations needed for PS5 racing experience and Nintendo switch to provide the best experience. Kids cafe style drawing and ball pool. Small kids car racing. Food- breakfast full of traditional Taiwanese and jackal Yilan food that adults and kids both couldn’t stop. Free flow of different flavors of beer too. The only two thing I would point out 1 the cleanliness of public shower area is sticky and hair dry area should place mats to avoid slippery from wet floor. 2 service is mechanically friendly like being trained well only. Overall kids would love to go back again soon.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a theme room on lvl3. Upon reaching level 3 lift lobby, there is a very neat electronic contraption on the wall where if you tap your room card on the black color reader, the floor will lit up with a cute cartoon character projected on the floor. The whole corridor floor will then consecutively lit up with the cartoon character leading you right to your door/room! This only works once though so dont miss the chance! The corridor at lvl3 has kiddy manual push rides where our kids had the most fun riding to the room entrance! There is also a child play facility (lvl2) that you can enter from lvl 1, where the entrance to the hotspring is also. The play facility has battery operated rides, ball pits, slides, building blocks, and an awesome projection wall where you can scan your child's colored pic of sea creatures and they will be brought to life projected on the wall! Hotspring wise they have many different baths with different colored water representing the different aromas like pink for bubblegum, white for milk, green for green tea, brown for oolong etc. There were simple more hotspring pools then we can remember, even more colors than the rainbow! However the changing and bathing facilities are minimal, don't expect those like u can find in Japan though. Do note that the children play pool is also situated near to the various hotspring pools so be careful to watch over your child carefully in case of any dangers of falling into the hotspring pools. There were multiple staff scattered across the entire open air hotspring/play pool area though, so I guess if there is an issue, they can come to attend asap since they were always looking around. Room wise, there is an indoor personal hotspring tub that you can soak in your own privacy (note that the lvl1 outdoor hotspring are common to both gender so bathing suit + swimming caps are a must!). A standing shower beside also. They do replenish the snacks, facial masks and all the canned drinks in the mini fridge in the room daily and best is its all foc! Our room was outfitted with 2 king size bed which was adequate for our family of 3 adults and 2 kids. Kids amenities are available in room too. The reception outside the hotspring do sell bathing suit and swim caps at cost. Towel can be asked from them too. And they do provide yutaka that you can wear to the hotspring. The only downside was the lack of self operated laundry facilities and we had to make do with those located about 15mins walk away from the hotel to do...

This hot spring hotel is a high tier premium rated hotel. It’s on the pricier side but you get what you’re paying for and a lot more. The lobby staff is very professional and helps with your luggage. The check in staff is very friendly and helpful. They can get by with basic conversational English. The lady at the desk upgraded our 8th floor to the 9th floor because we were staying 2 nights. Now that’s hospitality. We were very grateful for that gesture.

When we entered our rooms oh my… It was so spacious with king size beds. Everything looked brand new. Very clean and organized. A whole lot of snacks and drinks in the mini fridge free of charge. Plenty of lighting and there was also a romantic lighting setting oh la la lol 😆. Now if your traveling with toddlers it’s even better. They have an indoor playground that will keep them busy and drain their energy.

The bathroom has a private hot spring with a shower. Very fancy indeed. For the public hot spring bring your own bathing suit and bathing hat. If you don’t have a bathing hat they can provide you with one no charge. As usual, a luxury toilet. I loved the toiletries they provide for you. These Asian countries win by far in guest toiletries. Canada can’t keep up with that kind of service.

Each night stay has a breakfast buffet included. It is a very luxurious breakfast and you’re getting way more than expected. Some stars of the show for example is live lettuce in a pod, diy Chinese braised pork baos, Asian gelatos, parmigiana wheel, real honey comb honey, unlimited candy kiosk, unlimited beer, and so much more. Words can’t express the beauty of this bountiful buffet. I highly recommend trying items that you don’t normally eat. Back in Vancouver bc Canada, a buffet like this is easily $100 - $150 Canadian and up. I loved every bite. I can’t wait till I do it again...

Family room for our family of 2 adults 3 kids. Large double beds, and more than enough floor space to roll out our camping mattress for youngest child. Huge bathtub in room. I really like the room as it was huge and spacious and clean with lovely clean sheets and towels. |The hotel itself is perfect for families. A very large hotel, with fantastic hot springs facilities combined with water play area for kids. The kids loved it. All sorts of hot springs too (the red wine one was most questionable!) and kids enjoyed the fish nibbling at feet spa pool. Remember to bring swimsuit and a swimming cap (though we got away with plastic shower caps😂)|The breakfast buffet spread was amazing. We had a good time enjoying the various food, which also included a lot of salad and fruits. |The play area is heaven for our 5-6 year old child. Car rides and slides etc. but there was an age limit. Our eldest wasn’t allowed in there as she was 10, v disappointing for her. |The hotel cannot be better located. Just round the corner from the train station! And on the road with lots of great small eateries. We enjoyed it so much. |Jiaoxi might have lots of conflicting reports— garish, a little tacky, but I found it wonderfully lively, better maintained, than Hualien. Also, amazing hikes. The hike to matcha Mountain was 5 stars, and that’s just the main path up. Lots of other alternate routes up that are challenging, fun, and very beautiful. Linmei shipan trail of waterfalls also easily accessible (less than NT200 for one way taxi ride there), an easy trail which leads to more difficult ones up various mountains including matcha Mountain. Will return to this hotel. Really good value for money, friendly helpful staff, good facilities in a Taiwan hot...
