Like many local hot spring houses, they have stand alone resort style villas and the adhoc bathhouse.||||Privacy is there, but not the most luxurious in the vicinity. More family oriented. It really depends on luck. Because each villa is side by side, we were lucky that our neighbour next door was either quiet like us or vacant. We heard noise coming from units away even at night and we were feeling so lucky not to be staying next to them.||||Unit's interior was relatively well kept and clean.||There were everything essential in the room. Convenience stores were also within walking distance.||Basically there were 2 types of breakfast to choose from: Chinese locals or Western. We had different ones for each of the 2 mornings there and we were so surprised they actually provide MOS Burgers meal set for the Western option on the last morning. Absolutely sumptuous and delicious. The Chinese locals ones were so-so (take it from a Chinese).||||Hotspring water was not really natural hotspring. Beitou's was so far the better ones that we have tried. But the water was fast and there were mood lightings and jets within the outdoor tub.||||Each villa comes with a nice little courtyard too, so smokers could have some decent time in the outdoor. And well sheltered.||||Staff was friendly at the reception. Other times, they just mind their own business.||||We chanced upon the bosslady on one of the mornings and she took some time to tell us a little story of the place and it was ok.||||In general, it was not the most convenient location and certainly not the most best looking one in the area. But speaking about comfort and peaceful stay, because it is located off the busy area, you don't quite get affected by noise.||||It's about 15-20minutes walk to the train station. Not subway tho....
Read moreWe booked this minsu at the 2 weeks before our stay as the originally minsu we had booked was under renovation, there was no trip advisor reviews when we booked and I was a little apprehensive. But feedback I read on some hotel booking websites were good and I like what I saw on their website. ||||We had a double room and a quad room. Both rooms are large and excellent! The double room came with an indoor as well as outdoor hotspring. Our family of 5 could use the outdoor hotspring together. It made for great family time. The water quality of the hotspring was really good too.||||The quad room only had an indoor hotspring. The room was huge and could have accommodated another one person as it had a sofa bed too. It even had a huge TV. The indoor hotspring tub was huge too. Both the rooms Vy extremely clean and well maintained.||||We had a choice of western or Taiwanese breakfast. Our kids had western breakfast which was actually from mos burger and was brought to the room. The adults had Taiwanese breakfast which was Taiwanese porridge served with cooked side dishes which we needed to go to the dining area to have. Unlike most B&B serving Taiwanese breakfast where only one or 2 dishes are freshly cooked and the rest are preserved pickles, all of the side dishes were freshly booked and absolutely delicious. It was very generous of the, to let each guest choose their preference instead of insisting that all had to have the same western or local breakfast. Our kids definitely enjoyed their mos burgers!||||This is an excellent minsu and I do hope it does not get so popular that I have trouble booking it the next time I visit. A word of caution, they speak...
Read moreWe had one night at this terrific place. The villas are tastefully and well appointed, large and comfortable in pleasant gardens. You get you own private outside spa with small garden area, large well appointed room with internal spa also. The setting is lovely, with gardens and path leading up to the villas that we enjoyed. The staff are terrific. They gave us guidance on where to eat in Jiaoxi, offered free shuttle to the bus and if we needed it could have organised othe trips in the area. We had the breakfast which was outstanding. Its Chinese but very tastefully done and presented and you would be missing something if you didn't have it. Good coffee too. Although not cheap, we would definitely stay here again. Easy access from Taipei by bus and they offer free pickup from the train and/or bus. Short 10 minutes walk into the restaurants in the village that is easily doable - and we are in our sixties. You will...
