Overall nice stay for a layback trip. Will return.
Location: the hotel is located in one of the smaller towns in Yilan, a few train (ć°é”) stations away from the city centre. Due to the train system, major stations has more frequent trains than minor stations. This makes departing for Yilan station easier than returning to Jiaoxi station. Recommend checking the train timetable ahead.
Spots/ activity near hotel Getting an exotic treatment from Dr. Fish (went for éćŁćłæž©æłé, the owner seems to know his stuff and my skin did feel significantly smoother after; a fun experience nonetheless)
Trying out different local cuisines, like the duck soup near hotel
Planned to go on hikes but cancelled due to typhoon
Room: Stayed at the room with beds (not tatami). The mattress appeared to be using memory foam, which felt too soft if youâre used to mattress with springs. Thereâs not much support for the waist and it left me with lower back pain.
The down side apart, you have hot spring water to your room, free drinks and snacks, TV channels for foreigners (eg Discovery channel and TLC). The facilities are great. Some amenities, eg comb, youâll have to ask from the front desk and theyâll be happy to provide.
Thereâs no bathroom scale. But if youâre interested in knowing how heavy your luggage is, you can ask the front desk and they can weight it for you. Their scale measured around 0.5kg lighter than that from the airport so always leave some room for error.
Service: Service is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. My group extended beyond the original 4-day stays, and they started to provide us extra dish on each breakfast (a kind of fruit which is different everyday, and a plateful of freshly stir-fried pork slices), on top of the already-plentiful...
Read moreI stay in this hotel 4.5 years ago when i travel with my family(5 adults) and a 6 months old baby. We booked 2 double room*2. Room, hot spring, location, service, breakfast and facilities are all good. It was a good experience so this year in July when we traveled to Yiyan again ( on the way to Wha lien), we decide to book this hotel hoping that we would enjoy as much as we did last time. ||However, it was so disappointing. Check in was quick and staff are still friendly to be honest. However, i don't know why but there is a bad smell in the lobby and i smell it the first second stepping into the hotel. This time we travel with a 5 years old kid (yes the baby grows up :)) we booked a double deb rooms. It was so tiny that i can't believe it but still thought it was ok. Then i realize the room is not clean at all. You get to see all the dust in the air and when you try to have some rest on bed, the mattres is on the floor, it is so close that you can't even pretend there is no dust. ||Breakfast is good. They don't have enough parking space so we need to park in some where else ( 7 min to the hotel). ||||Will definitely not come back again!!!! with the price, there are so many other...
Read moreA boutique style onsen hotel, renovated from old building in the same style as the new developed residential block next to the hotel under the same owner. Plenty of fulfilled activities for kids on the 2nd level with a room dedicated to traditional Taiwanese toys abd games while abother room focuses more on common modern platzone like books, Lego & soft toys. You'll able to find postcards here to send to friends and yourself.
The onsen outdoor doubles as kids pool and also landscape pool. The smaller one is the 40degree Celsius onsen while the bigger temperature bern reduced to 37.5 degrer Celsius for kids. Always a good idea for the kids to play in the shallow bigger pool, the onsen will improve their blood circulation amd wear them out after 30mins of sleep and ensuring a good night sleep later. The adult full nudity onsen is located in the basement with no natural ventilation. But it is npt stuffy and felt well ventilated. It is split into two onsen for the two genders. The temperature is reflective of the natural onsen temperature of around 41.0-41.5degree Celsius. Remeber to thoroughly shower as a basic etiquette of...
