Gamalan FL Spring Hotel — Hotel in Jiaoxi Township

Stayed in the family room of this hotel spring hotel with in room hot spring from 3-5 Dec 2023. Location was excellent. 5 mins walk to Jiaoxi train station and surrounded with eateries including the famous scallion pancake shop and Yilan famous snake souvenir shop.

Room was very spacious with floor seating dinning area, 2 TVs, 2 large beds and most importantly, a BIG hot spring tub which was sufficient to fit at least 6 pax.

Not many amenities though except for a foot bath pool and a chargeable hot spring area for guests to boil eggs and other food items.

Counter staff was friendly and the aunties at the breakfast restaurant was helpful.

The only downside was the one and only coffee machines in the restaurant was down during our breakfast. The other machine at the lobby level which was free for use was only available in the afternoon. Good thing was convenient store was nearby to...

A shower that spews out the side, a dirty hot tub, a plugged shower floor drain, a direct to my face lie from the hotel room staff about the TV not having the STAR channel when, in fact, the parent control was locking us out (which I guessed at and fixed myself). A hot room when we entered because you have to use your room key to turn the power on. A ground floor elevator in the B building with no English writing to say This is the right place!!! The comforters on the beds are so thick that ac on high is still to warn and no top sheet to cover yourself if you want to throw the comforter off. The extras in the room were great. Toothbrush, etc. Great food, amazing breakfast buffet. I hope your bathroom works properly and is cleaner...

Love this boutique hotel that is strategically located at the fringe of Jiaoxi city center. It is only a short walking distance to the areas where lots of shopping and food outlets. Don’t get fool by the humble looking lobby, the room is considerably spacious and well equipped. Toto toilet bowl and an onsen hot tub are the plus factors, the bed is of medium hardness that is perfect to rest my tired body after a day of travelling. The morning breakfast has good spread of delicious western and local food. The only downside is the one and only small elevator, it may take a while to get into the lift in peak period.
