Yuquan Hot Spring Hotel — Hotel in Jiaoxi Township

We stayed at this hotel for just one night. But it was overall a good experience.||||First, the location is just 5 minutes walk from the most bustling Tangweigou hot spring park, and so it is close to major travel and eating places.||||Second, the room size was good enough for the two of us with enough space to put our luggage. (compared with an earlier hot spring hotel we stayed in)||||Third, the price of the room at NT1500 can be considered budget to mid-range. Although the building facade and rooms looks less than modern and a bit old, we had a comfortable and cosy stay with our basic necessities met.||||Breakfast is served direct to the room as there is no dining area in the building. Water dispenser is not available on each of the 6 floors, but only on the third floor, where there is hot, warm and cold water available. ||||A great plus point is that this hotel provides free rental of bicycles, although you need to book the bicycles in advance before your stay. Hence, suggestion to cycling enthusiasts to borrow the bicycles and do a simple cycling trip around Jiaoxi town in the morning, or even to the Paoma Historical Trail which is 10-12 minutes away on the bicycle.||||Recommended for those who are on a leaner budget and who want a convenient stay close to the...

I stayed here with my bicycle. (No problem to keep a clean bicycle in the room). The staff did not speak English but was most helpful and friendly. Communcation is easy with modern translators.||The breakfast selection is printed in English. The breakfast is delivered and good. However, the egg and bacon cakes are made in Taiwanese style, so do not expect anything else. My friends choose sandwiches which was said to be OK. in room hot spring... high on sulfur (bath house/cabin) available overnight, I like it personally. However, for meal or snacks, you need to bring your own style food: canned, dried, packaged, or in bottles, for meal or snacks in the afternoon or evening, there is only one local restaurant open till 7 pm( no idea what is on the menu because we were on foot).. it is a car-centric environments... there is vending machine for some drinks(?) on premises. a few local stores for some nick nac, or...
