Booked the Double Room and Quadruple Room (both with Sea View), and reached there on a rainy day. B&B has a small unsheltered parking space right next to entrance (just big enough for 2 MPVs). Dining area in ground level (where entrance leads to and check in is done) is large (you can takeaway food at old street to eat here), but is locked up at night (i think by 10pm), so you can only go to / return to B&B via a small door (at the parking space side), which can be unlocked with your bunch of room keys. There is no elevator here, so for those who got the 3rd floor (ie quadruple room with sea view), it is a rather steep climb up 2 floors, not advisable for folks with mobility challenge. Double room was on 2nd floor. Rooms had walk-in shower and electric bidet toilet, and windows that open for ventilation. Views from quarduple is quite good, but double room had better view (with nice sofa before a very large almost floor to ceiling window). Water pressure / control is good. However, double room has a raised platform (shin level) in room near at entrance, so have to climb up and down when going toilet / entering room (again, elderly folks beware). Rooms are quite spacious, and will easily accommodate large luggages (although carry ons are encouraged instead, and you can leave your large luggage downstairs at counter. Breakfast goes by timings (i think 0730 ~ 0900), simple but nice fare (just note that bread might have peanut butter spread inside already), with very interesting talk by 林大哥 (whom i suspect is the boss) on Jiufen and its history. It is nicer to sit outside for breakfast. Location is a 3minute walk from start of Jiufen Old Street (ie 7-11 shop), and even nearer to bus stop.

What an awesome little place! It's perfectly located for visiting Old Street. We took the bus in from Taipei and as we were rounding the last turn before the bus stop, I realized it was right there on the corner as we passed it. It was maybe a 2 minute walk from the bus stop. If you walk the other direction (uphill) from the bus stop, you'll be at the Old Street entrance in 2 min or less. There's a 711 located between Old Street and the hotel. The manager, who told us he just took over on Nov 1, was so friendly and helpful! We made sure to take a selfie with him before leaving :D We arrived early (~12:15pm) and were able to check in right away (supposed to be 3pm). The included breakfast was prepared by the manager as soon as we got downstairs in the morning. We had a tea egg, half sandwich (egg and cheese), fruit, half a waffle, and a choice of beverage (we had lattes). Everything was delicious! We booked the double room with ocean view on Expedia and our room was great. Seemed to have been recently updated and was very clean. The furniture and decor were very nice. The bathroom was pretty tight, but nicely updated. We were in room 201 - up the stairs and the first door on the right - essentially the same view as from the common area patio on the first level. Great view! There was a water dispenser at the bottom of the stairs with tea that we used to fill up our water bottles regularly. We were only able to stay one night but would have loved to stay longer!

This hotel is in a perfect location—just a 5-minute walk from Old Jiufen Street—making it super convenient to explore the area without needing transportation. Despite being so close to the main attractions, the hotel still feels peaceful and relaxing, which was a huge plus. The owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations or anything you might need. It really felt like staying with family rather than just checking into a hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The beds were cozy, and the little details made the stay even more enjoyable. Everything felt well-maintained and cared for. The food was amazing and it looked amazing and tasted amazingly. Overall, this place is a gem—great location, wonderful hospitality, and excellent value. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Jiufen and would love to stay here again!

My Third night stay for my 8 days 7 night at Taiwan family trip (Wife and eldest son of 4 years old)||||I choose this resort/hotel for its location...super near to jiu fen old street...5 mins walk to jiu fen old street...||||Room was average size and clean (Deluxe double room with Side Sea View) facing the Ying Yang Sea...upon check in,room was a little warm but chill pretty fast with air con and extra standing fan...room design layout looks a bit old but still clean though the view is very nice even in day as well as night time...However the toilet looks a bit old but water pressure for the shower heads are strong for bathing. Bed was very hard as well and my wife need to sleep at the sofa bed so that she can sleep (need to improve on the bed foam)||||Staffs are quite friendly explaining their working hours and what we should do after 9pm in the event if they knocked off and the main door is locked. (need to open the side gate and goes in)||||Breakfast was good consist mainly of fruits yet still filling to us. ||||Had a good impression of this homestay overall due to its...
