Tor Dāy — Restaurant in Taichung

Prawn Toast was great, basically minced prawns lathered generously onto bread, and the whole thing deep fried. Delicious with slightly tangy curry sauce. Noodles were also amazing, creamy and so addictive. The braised pork leg(?) rice was also pretty decent, although we enjoyed the other 2 dishes more. As for the drinks, somehow I can't quite remember what they were - neither their names nor their tastes. But I could remember exactly what I drank and how I felt at another bar about 2 days prior to my Tor Day visit; perhaps the drinks we chose were just not up our alley. Overall, a fun and vibey joint for drinks, but for close to 1600NTD between the two of us, did not exactly feel that it was worth the...

I made a reservation at Tor Day to celebrate both my first day in Taichung and Christmas. Thanks to your hospitality, I had a delightful Christmas evening. It’s a pity I didn’t realize beforehand that the last bus to my accommodation was at 11 PM, and I ended up making a late reservation at 9:30 PM.

From the moment we entered the bar, we were warmly welcomed by your staff. Special thanks to the bartender who kindly explained all the menu items in English. The four cocktails and two dishes we ordered were all exceptional and left a lasting impression. The cocktail with blue cheese and the French fries sprinkled with Sichuan pepper were especially unforgettable.

When we had to rush out to catch the last bus, your entire team came out to send us off with a complimentary watermelon-flavored shot. Your kind gestures made it even harder to leave. I truly wished to visit again the next day, but my schedule didn’t allow it, so I decided to treasure the beautiful memories instead.

If I ever visit Taichung again, it will be 100% to return to Tor Day. Before we left, your team handed us a sticker, which I’ve proudly placed on my laptop. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories!

為了慶祝在台中的第一天兼聖誕節，我預訂了Tor Day。多虧你們的熱情款待，我度過了一個愉快的聖誕夜。很遺憾的是，我事先不知道回住宿的末班車是晚上11點，卻安排了晚上9點半的晚餐預約。

從我們進入酒吧的那一刻起，員工們就熱情地迎接了我們。特別感謝調酒師耐心地用英語解釋每道菜單的內容。我們點的四杯雞尾酒和兩道菜都非常出色，令人難忘。尤其是加入藍紋奶酪的雞尾酒和撒上花椒的薯條，真的讓人印象深刻。

當我們不得不匆忙結帳趕末班車時，你們的全體員工還特地送上西瓜味的特調Shot作為服務，並且對我們始終保持友善，讓我們更加捨不得離開。雖然當時很想第二天再來拜訪，但行程安排不允許，因此只能將這段美好的回憶珍藏心中。

如果有一天我再次造訪台中，那一定是為了Tor...
