If you are a foreigner traveling to Taipei and looking for an ideal hotel to stay, then K Hotels Taipei Chang-An is HIGHLY recommended. This hotel is thoughtful, CLEAN, conveniently located, welcoming, modern and tastefully decorated - it's simply a remarkable hotel which makes an overall outstanding experience.
There are so many great things to say about K Hotels Taipei Chang-An; just expect everything to be solid and I will provide some highlights:
Guest Service - the customer service at the hotel is exceptional. Everyone speaks decent English and every time you make a call for any request, you can expect it to arrive in your room within 3 minutes. They are so quick in responding to your requests and ensuring your needs are met. They do everything kindly, professionally and respectfully, which is well appreciated.
Rooms - we had a Superior Double and it was spacious with a decently sized sitting area (with a couch). The room and bathroom are SOOO CLEAN, nicely decorated and thoughtfully prepared with anything you need. The cleanliness of this place is on another level...everything looks like it's brand new. It's just such a pleasant and comfortable room to stay; a place you can really relax and rest at. I also want to highlight how high tech the rooms are with all the electronics and many things being automated. The only downside may be the mattress cause it is leaning towards the harder size (which many Asians like harder beds).
Breakfast Buffet- oh dear, there is a variety of amazing choices at the breakfast buffet! There are Asian selections and also Western ones; very accommodating. The restaurant is also a very nice and CLEAN area...it's like sparkly clean. You will absolutely enjoy breakfast here...I loved having my congee (rice soup) breakfast every morning.
Free Parking - free parking at a hotel in Taipei, Taiwan; hello, for real?! Yes, for real. As long as you reserve a parking spot, then there is free parking at the hotel, which is super convenient.
Location - if you do not have a car, then no worries either cause this hotel is conveniently located close to a MRT station. A straight walk for about 7 minutes and you will get to a MRT station. The hotel is also located close to some lively and unique areas like HauShan Creative Park, Guanghau Digital Plaza, museums and temples.
This hotel is superb! There are endless amounts of hotels in Taipei...we are all aware of the well known hotel chains like Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton and obviously they all have a certain quality standard, BUT if you want to stay at a Taiwanese hotel with excellent quality then K Hotels Taipei Chang-An is it! We hope you enjoy your experience there as...
Read morethe room was comfortable and it was nice to have fully openable windows. bathroom was decently sized with lots of counter space. however this hotel is clearly still at a 3-star level because of the cleaning staff. on 4/5 nights that we stayed, the cleaning staff did not clear our used cups and cutlery. when i told the front desk they said that they thought we might still want to drink the coffee... (there were literally two little sips left). they also would throw out certain things (my open cosmetic samples that were still meant to be used) but not others that were clearly trash (tissues). they also "made" the bed by just throwing the cover loosely over the bed and no actual folding. even after telling front desk, no changes were made... another small detail is the front desk, most times we came in and out there was no one greeting or smiling, they would just pretend you're invisible until you step up to the counter and ask for something. it felt quite unwelcoming. the location itself is convenient with many cafes and convenience shops in the same block. it's about a 5 minute walk to the closest subway station, but the station itself is not on the same lines as most destinations so will require changing lines almost everywhere you want to go (ximending, 101, etc) for the pricepoint i would suggest booking an actual...
Read moreAlthough location is not in close proximity to the nearest station, the staff served very well to the guest with standard smiley greetings and hardworking housekeepers. Given the age and limited facilities of the hotel (ie. no gym and lounge), it is always the quality of the workers there who go for the extra miles for making their guests satisfied during stays. The best example was my case when I forgot to take away the phone charger from the room following check-out. The housekeeper did not own it for her own use, but instead she informed the front desk and handed it over to the duty manager. That manager eventually gave it back to me when I reclaimed my stored luggage upon returning. From my personal encounter, this hotel had fully earned my trust and loyalty for another revisit in the future due to its Integrity. Work ethics is utmost important in the service industry particularly for hospitality nowadays, but sadly it is lacking all over the world especially in the modern Western cultures with hundreds of staff thefts happening on a daily basis and those hotel managements did little in upkeeping such basic quality...
