Original Grilled Pork Don (Rice Bowl) Combo ($225): The soft boiled egg and pork miso soup are included in the combo and the rice is refillable. Thankfully, there were no onions under the pork like most Japanese rice bowls. The pork slices were one of the most succulent ones and the barbecue sauce used was also quite tasty. After adding the soft boiled egg, it tasted even better. This was the most delicious meat donburi (rice bowl) I’d ever tried. The miso soup was also delightful and meaty. Moreover, you can add on drinks, such as Coke, Calpis, and Orange Juice for +$30, and Asiago Beer for +$80.

In conclusion, I’m a fan of sashimi donburi instead of meat donburi eater but I highly recommend its fans coming here. The location is near the exit 1 of MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng and NTUT. What a perfect spot for the undergraduates and graduate students to dine in or take away here. The service speed is fast and the prices are also affordable for them. Overall, it’s absolutely a 10 out of 10!

The dinner we had at this humble place was one of our best meal during our Taipei holiday. We ordered the original grilled pork don and the salty lemon pork don. Both are great porky dishes with rice, and also came with runny egg, bit scallions / veggies and miso soup. We also ordered a cold beer and a small bowl of kimchi as side dish. All in all, we only spent about AUD 27 for those satisfying dinner meals - if not the best, this must be our best value meal during our Taiwan holiday which covered Taipei, Tainan and Kaoshiung. Very best value and highly recommended 👍. We wish we could try their other menu items 😋😋

The place is small, so easy to jam-packed and you have to wait a bit until there's empty seat available. The place is also hard to spot even using Google Map because it is on second floor and you have to take quite steep stair to reach it. Don't confuse yourself since the lower level is also another restaurant. Customer services are limited, but at least your ordered food comes fast and taste good. Saw this place in a TV program and was attracted by the onion lemon pork don 😋. Come here off peak time for a late lunch so we not one customer there. Order via automated machine and the staff will prepare immediately for you.

Very efficient but you can still saw the cooking process. I like the spring onion lime favor as the lime add the sour acidity to balance the oily pork, give you a very fresh taste. The only drawback is the miso soup which is just warm and not hot enough! May be it’s summer time so they tends to not serve too hot.
