Great spot in the north-east corner of the Old City. It was very easy to get here after arriving from the Bus Station. ||||If you are using Grab to find the place, use "Retro Lanna Hostel" as the destination and not Lanna Hotel or you will be walking for a while.||||We booked the Queen Room with Balcony and Bathroom and it was plenty big for two people. The bathroom is a wet room with the toilet very close to the washbasin, but it works. No fridge and no TV in room, but there is a communal fridge on the second floor where there also is coffee, tea, and a kettle. ||||The balcony isn't private which was kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker. The door to the room also has stained glass and no curtain, so it is quite bright at night. Overall the sleep quality was mediocre and OK for one night. ||||The area where the Lanna Hostel is located is quite and very easy to get to the main road to get other modes of transport. Within a 10 minute walk you are at Grazie and eating some...
Read moreI couldn’t wait to give this place a good review once we checked out. We loved our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. We had stayed in a hotel close by for a few nights that was much more expensive and we hated it. At Lanna hostel we instantly felt at home and that we were valued customers. The woman at reception was lovely and the English gentleman owner was more than nice, he was so friendly. You will feel safe and at home here. ||Please ignore other reviews about this property that might be negative. We are travelling Asia for 3 months and have been travelling for years and this is perfect for what you pay. The rooms are small but they have all you need. CLEAN, towels, warm shower, free water, comfy pillows and bed, and the use of a communal kettle and fridge and anyone who is a traveller that means you can make noodles and have cold water!! Hats off to all here, for what we paid it was perfect. Keep up...
Read moreLiterally my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at. Yes, the rooms are small and the walls are thin - it's a Thai building, what would you expect? But it's immaculately clean, the beds are super comfortable, and the owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It's also super duper cute! Stained glass windows and brightly coloured pillows. ||||It's easy walking distance to several places in old town Chiang Mai including the Sunday evening market, close to delicious (and cheap!) food and coffee, and close to convenience stores. ||||It's not directly on the main street so it's quiet - but still easily accessible. ||||Would give Lanna Hostel 6 stars if I...
