Really nice roadside bar in the north east corner of the old city.
The owner whose name I think is bom, memory doesn't bode well and I will explain why in a moment.
Anyways he is an incredibly nice guy. Speaks some English but not much. Not a problem.
He often sticks on a playlist of your choosing or lets you play your own music if you prefer.
Quite nice to chill on the roadside and just drink some strong cheap nice drinks and soak up the atmosphere.
For those wondering there is a toilet just to the side of the bar.
Now the drinks.... The cheaper the drink the less ingredients it has.
Now don't be fooled.
We ordered a variety of drinks and they were all insanely strong.
For example a vodka cranberry I had was about an inch short of the top of the glass of vodka and about 1 inch cranberry.
Needless to say after 3 or 4 I was getting pretty slurry.
Cheap cocktails start at 100 baht and go up to about 160 baht got the most expensive.
He also has local Thai beers for about 80/100 baht if you want to chill and take it easy.
Check it out, if even for a drink as he's a cool guy to try...
Read moreI recently visited Chill Out Beer and, as someone currently not drinking alcohol, I was pleasantly surprised by how welcomed I felt sipping on my Singha soda water. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home, adding to the warm and inclusive atmosphere of the place.
What made the experience even better was their choice of music — they played the Shakira song from the World Cup, and let's be honest, who doesn't love Shakira? It brought a lively and upbeat vibe that had everyone tapping their feet.
Chill Out Beer also turned out to be a great spot for people-watching, with a relaxed and enjoyable ambiance that kept me entertained the entire time. Whether you're drinking or not, this place has a little something for everyone....

I visited around 11pm and stayed just before closing. I was the only guest in the venue. I still had a great time.
I recommend this bar if you travel solo. Even when there's no other guests, you can easily chat to the bartenders here. It doesn't have that awkward, stiff vibe here.
Make sure you bring cash! No card payment available.
If there's no drink that's intriguing to you, ask a bartender whether a cocktail you wanna drink can be crafted. They might be able to make a cocktail out of menu. I tried tea cocktail 😊🍸
I would love to re-visit this bar when I come back...
