It is risky to give extremely positive reviews since, selfishly, you will work against yourself by promoting the place which in turn will make it less affordable to yourself due to a competing demand... But, the opposites true as well. This place deserves to prosper and remain since everything it offers with regards to the service, pristine cleanness of the rooms, proximity to everything while distance from the noise -- is just perfect.
We stay (yes, we're still here) here with our 19 months old in a Mountain View apartment - really nothing to wish more. Everything just perfect. Being low season we have the pool almost exclusively to us. One of the best (however a bit pricey -- if you can call an average $2 price hike for mains compared to other places "pricey") restaurants in Kamala -- Lillo Island, is only 10 metres away.
This place has laundry you're allowed to use once a day. Having a separate kitchenette makes it really easy to give the kid the food she likes. Having a full size fridge is yet another convenience.
Ocean View Rooms are nice and REALLY HUGE. But beware -- the Sun will be in the windows from 10 am till sunset.
This place is liked by Aussies and Americans, at least this is our impression so far. No unnecessarily loud, drunken or smoking...
Read moreJust came back after spending three nights at Kamala beachfront . Stayed in the studio apartment . To be honest , if you are looking for a hotel experience this is not the place . Its just a bunch of apartments and rooms and very average as far as facilities are concerned . Rooms are ok and need refurbishing . Housekeeping is done daily but the only USP about the property is ,it is beach front and just 20 mtrs from their pool area . Its more like a gueat house kind of thing . The restaurants are just next door as it has a vibrant beach street in the front and scooter rental and car rentals are easily accessible . If you are a beach lover this is too good . The reception area and the other things need changes as the prices charged per night are high . Beds are not very comfortable and a little hard . The studio rooms donot get anysunshine and to dry clothes there is no clothwire or stand available . There is no room service . If its raining its difficult to manage food . For indian travellers this place is a dampener as far as food is concerned . No indian restaurant nearby . Bathroom is also very basic with a small shower .||All in all a satisfactory place because of location. Thats its usp. They can raise the bar a little to give a good experience to...
Read moreKamala beachfront apartments is our favourite place to holiday based just on the location. Sitting on the beach chairs under an umbrella near the pool is heaven. The beach is literally 10 seconds away. Tiki in her little bar is amazing with her beautiful kind service and care that she gives to guests. There are many great restaurants just minutes away. Cleaners do a good job, doing the best they can. The reason I only give 3 stars is because unfortunately the apartments are getting run down. Plumbing is so terrible. Never ever warm water with zero water pressure. I feel dirty staying here as I can never have a proper shower. The towels are so old they are stained and falling apart. The bed sheets are stained. The fridge is not very cold and the freezer doesn't freeze. The TV'S are so old, they need to be replaced. We have stayed many times and though we love the location the inside of the apartments need to reflect the money that guests pay to stay. Its not cheap accommodation, especially at high season. Some money needs to be put back into the business to make it live upto it's potential because it's sad to see that it's not what it used to be, or all...
