Saw some great reviews here and thought we would give it a try. Not worth it. Start with location, great plus, on the beach and see it has a Rooftop area so thought we could get food and enjoy the breeze and view. The staff were not pleased to see us and didn't like us using said Rooftop. Yes it is off season and quieter but the main selling point is that veranda. They demanded we order downstairs as they did not want to walk up to take our order. The tables up there were dirty and no one cleaned it even after we sat down. The sunset was nice and all was good but as the Sun set, they turned on no lights making consuming food tricky. We ate tom ka gai, chicken in coconut soup, which was more water and sweet than I would expect. Price was ok but food not great and service/cleanliness...
Read moreA lovely place to eat and have a cocktail on Kamala beach. It’s the first (or last place) on the stretch of beach so it’s on the thoroughfare. It was quiet when we visited. It feels like the place isn’t back to its former self after Covid. I was slightly concerned that the food may not be fresh but I was very pleasantly surprised. We ended up eating there (or having drinks) at least 6 or 7 times during our 10 day stay at a nearby 5 star. Like another reviewer I enjoyed the fried fish in tamarin sauce. The crab curry was equally good as was the prawn pad Thai. We tried all their starters and they were good. Our 4 year old was sold on their Hawaiian pizza. I’m told by the husband that Tom Yum pizza was really good! Pizza base may not have been made there and then… Cocktails are lovely and quite cheap (£3 ish). The staff were very friendly and helpful with our baby. We went back because of their...

Only as customers we realised that patrons there are those waiting -- either for any attention, their food or the bill... I cannot say anything about the food since we were too starved to wait any more to try... On arrival it took about 15 minutes to get an order and another 20 to bring mash potato (FRIGGING MASH!!! we had to feed the little one before attempting to get any food for ourselves)... Even before the mash arrived we understood we would die of starvation so we asked for the bill which also took 15 minutes to arrive after two follow ups.... Don't bother. And they don't take...
