The reviews are deceitful for this restaurant (here’s a paragraph to explain why I believe this is the case). The table we were seated at was dirty and we had to request to get it wiped down. Not exaggerating but at least 1/4th of the items on the menu are unavailable. Two of the items we ordered also turned out to be unavailable (nonetheless when we visited it was a holiday so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume a food delivery was delayed or some unforeseen event - however not sure why the kitchen didn’t relay this information to the waiters before we ordered). The menu itself is disorganized and the breakfast and lunch menus overlap in one section (inconvenient since they only start serving lunch at noon - server had to explain to us that the pages before the “Lunch” menu and still clearly in the “Breakfast” section were in fact not part of the breakfast but only available at lunch). None of the food we ordered, neither the Italian or the Thai food, was remotely close to authentic. “Authentic Italian” in their name is very misleading. As well, we were terrorized by a fly for our entire meal. Near the end of our breakfast/brunch the fly was joined by a stray dog which was begging by our table (cute dog but smelled like sea water). Sure these things are out of their control but it definitely didn’t improve our experience. I highly advise you visit the neighbouring “Lillo Island Restaurant & Bar”. They have much better Thai food, with some western options, at a cheaper price. I would give 3 stars because of the sweet waiters but frankly that is expected of “Thai hospitality” culture (not trying to sound insensitive but if you’ve been in Thailand for more than one day you know what I mean). Hence 2 stars.
P.S. The only food item I truly enjoyed was the lychee tea which was presented well in a chic glass tea pot, was perfectly hot (not scolding and not warm bath water), and was enough for 3/4 cups at a cheap price of 60/70 baht (can’t remember the exact price anymore but realistically what difference does 10 baht make). However I’ve yet to encounter a place which butchered bagged tea (or loose leaf for...

What truly sets Bella Vista apart, though, is the outstanding service. The staff are incredibly attentive, helpful, and genuinely polite, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
