Really nice people and cheap beers on the beach at Kamala. I just wish the food was consistent. 1st meal: Ate dinner had Pork steak and potatoes with a slaw. Steak was overcooked and extremely over seasoned. Potatoes/onion were oily and only fair. Cabbage and carrot slaw ok. Wife seafood combo was way too sweet and very overcooked. Onion rings appetizers was greasy and undercooked. Ate here New Year's Eve and it was really good. Had Barbeque King Prawns and The Green curry seafood dishalso enjoyed vegetable Fried rice and it was excellent with our other dishes. So chances are now 50/50 that it will be good. Stop for the nice people and have a beer. Maybe the food will improve and become more consistent. Update 01/15/22: Sad to say We aren't improving here Had the 2 orders Scrabbled eggs and cheese and potatoes Bacon and onion for breakfast meal. The cheese was pasteuized process cheese and the eggs were wet as the beach. Served a full 5 minutes after eggs were served. Potatoes were oily and the onion and bacon undercooked. Nearly 400 baht with coffee and Tea. We were the only customers so there was no excuse. I am not going to come here...
Read moreExcellent Dinner Experience at Pond Restaurant & Bar My wife and I visited Pond Restaurant & Bar on Kamala Beach for dinner recently, and it was a delightful experience. The food was fantastic. We started with the classic Tom Yam soup, which was rich, perfectly spiced, and full of flavor—easily one of the best I've had. For our main, the fried chicken was surprisingly moist and exceptionally crispy. We also enjoyed a refreshing coconut to accompany our meal. The bartenders prepared some excellent cocktails for us as well; they were expertly mixed and a great complement to the tropical setting. The service was prompt and the staff were very courteous. The location, right by the beach, offers a wonderful ambiance for a relaxing evening. We had a great time and would certainly recommend Pond Restaurant & Bar to anyone looking for quality Thai food and a lovely...
Read moreDelicious. My family of four ate for dinner and LOVED it. We didn’t get our kids meals (I think language barrier but no big deal, we didn’t get charged) but what we did get was absolutely delicious and I hope we get another chance to eat here before we return home. We got the Mai Tai in pineapple, coconut juice, crispy fried squid, Tom Yum soup and yellow noodles with chicken, chicken with coconut milk soup and yellow noodles with seafood (I didn’t know my husband ordered the same or I would have ordered something else to try more. Highly recommend the soup), strawberry daiquiri, and Mango...
