Visited Atelier on Sunday night for their "Seafood" special buffet and was extremely disappointed in the experience since there was limited varieties of seafood and nothing special about it. I must mention that I have visited several times previously and had been satisfied with on my earlier trips but they have drastically reduced their offerings. For example they only 3 cheese options now, about 4 bread options, no king crab, very low quality sushi and rolls and less fruit. They do still have river prawns that are good. The caesar salad station doesn't even have parmesan cheese. It seems the food cost are not the only area where costs have been cut. On my visit much of the time many cooking stations were empty. It took me 35 minutes to get my pasta and when it arrived the noodles were undercooked and the sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can. The "carving" station is now nothing more than presliced ham on a board. The service staff is still pleasant and attentive which is the only reason why I rated my visit with 2 stars instead of the 1 star the food and cooking staff deserve. The old adage "you get what you pay for" is very apt for Atelier. They have drastically reduced the price for their buffet but also unfortunately the quality along with it. It's definitely not worth paying full price for, around 1700 baht, and probably not worth the 800 baht I paid but if you live river prawns it...

Read moreMy wife wanted to celebrate her birthday here so we made reservations for 6pm last night (Friday). When the waitress came to take our drink order I asked for iced tea. Wrong choice. They don't have any. This buffet was so terrible it should be located in a Big C shopping center. Crab was so small it wasn't worth attempting to open it. Shrimp was peel and eat however to cocktail sauce. They couldn't provide me with a steak knife so I used my butter knife to cut my tough steak and tiny lamb chops. All the flavors of the food were BLAND! The dessert bar was uneventful and everything had terrible whipped creme flavor. There were no signs on the food items so you had to guess what you were eating. Avoid this place. Too many other excellent buffet restaurants in Bangkok. I write my reviews from my heart and this didn't impress me. Dr. Petro. PS. I told my wife I would take her out to a fabulous restaurant next week to celebrate her...
