Buddies Loft - Koh Samet — Hotel in Ko Samet

Buddies Loft has a great spot located across from Sai Kaew Beach, as well as many other shops, restaurants, merchants and activities.||Buddies Loft also has it's own Bar and Grill, where you can dine on the beach, in the evening, next to the receding tide.||The rooms are well kept and very tidy. Mine did not offer a window, nor a view of any type, so not sure if they are all the same.||The mattress had me reciting a frequent comment often stated by Dr. Zachary Smith (Lost in Space) every morning, "Oh The Pain, The Pain!" Too firm to get a good night's rest.||The employees were very bland and lacked personality, so I didn't try to pull to much of a conversation from them.||Breakfast was included, but the choice was their's. A traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon/ham, toast, tea or coffee or a Thai breakfast of rice porridge with beverages.||The food was great, but I was unsatisfied with the limited choice and portions. I believe you could pay for additional choices, but this should have been included in the costs as well.||Buddies has free Wi-fi, but the signal was very weak, so my phone and cable t.v. was constantly buffering.||Netflix and a few other choices are offered, so the was a nice surprise. ||I would recommend Buddies for their great location, as well as set up, but I expected more for the rate I paid for my 2 night stay, so if you are just looking for a great location in proximity to the beach, excursions and events, you will have it in Buddies, as well as the Bar and Grill, but the room and amenities have their highs and...

The hotel's location is incredible along with the hotel itself! We stayed for 3 nights(10th May - 13th May) and I must say it's been an absolute pleasure. The staff have been fantastic and have helped us out countless times; from arranging a motorbike for the day to contacting our minibus provider to help organise us back to Bangkok. ||When you stay at this hotel you get free beach towels, free access to deck chairs and free parasoles, to help keep you out of the direct sunlight once you return from the sea, which is about a stone's throw away from the hotel.|| When we visit Koh Samet again, we WILL most definitely be staying at this hotel again!||We sampled the menu for not only the drinks(I loved the fruit smoothies on offer) but the food. I ate the seafood red curry and my girlfriend had a Som Tom, both were delicious and the prices are very competitive, which you will see if you just stroll along the beach and browse the other hotel menus. I have to admit, we did try other places along the beach but we weren't impressed compared to Buddies Bar and Loft.||If you are reading this and need some help making up your mind as to if you should book this place.....DO IT, you won't be disappointed as the rooms are lovely, well priced for its location and the rooms amenities are perfect from the air con to the air purifier.
