Krabi Heritage Hotel — Hotel in Krabi Province

Excellent location in the heart of the area for a wonderful price (we had a low budget as fresh uni graduates). rooms were top notch. Also smelled so nice and fresh when we first entered and soaps provided smelled so good. Even the small balcony area was super clean and dust free. TV channels were all in Thai tho.

However:

1. skip the breakfast as it was not worth it. There was only the option for bread and 2-3 dishes (think grilled tomatoes and sausages), 1 egg station, pad thai and one other Thai dish iirc. The lack of goers really speaks for itself.
2. wasn’t expecting the lobby to be non air conditioned but that was a trend we saw in other hotels as well, even the more expensive looking ones. Probably a resort thing
3. receptionist with the glasses was awfully stingy and unwelcoming haha. Wanted a bottle of water after breakfast and she made it a point to note it would be taken out of our complimentary bottles per day. Also never smiled everytime we interacted but chalked it up to stress.
4. never experienced this before but maybe it’s a small hotel thing (experienced in Bangkok as well). they had to manually check our rooms before they could let us leave the hotel. We were rushing off and hadn’t known this so it was pretty irritating to have to wait for them
5. we found our door unlocked twice, once while we were still in the room and once after we got back from an outing. But we definitely double locked it the first time and was saved by the chain. The second round was likely because the cleaner didn’t shut it properly and their doors aren’t auto lock (using keys) so that was pretty iffy

Despite all that, partner and I definitely would come back just because the rooms, pricing, and location all made sense! Krabi...

seen room price on agoda 560, when I arrived it was 750, Had no choice took room, Amazing SHA+LOL.,I removed aircon filters washed in bath tub they were filthy the water was brown,. The sink tap was very loose, The shower head flew off due to high pressure hit me in the head, the second time it flew off hit my toe blood everywhere as I'm on warfrin,..not a 70yr old pensioner though. Was not happy, the compressor outside my tiny balcony is the loudest I've ever heard, the balcony it's self no joke my knees where touching my friends knees when we sat in the chairs,. The fridge is smaller than the one I have in my motorhome,.there were screaming kids running up and down the corridors after 11pm for 3 nights, parents or manager did nothing, to make things worse, much to my complete disgust, the next day reception called, you check out today sir, I said I may stay 3 more nights, ok price increase now to 900, i could not believe this, for what reason I said, oh different price every dayhotel occupancy full,lol it was 90%empty...

So you move in on agreed price which I said could be 5 nights, but they price change when your in...disgusting behaviour....leaving early now at agreed move in price,..so thought I'd share how this place is...avoid it.

Garden bungalows in nicer quiter places same price only 5minutes away,..

Never in my life I been almost ripped off when I move in 2 nights later fir a higher price in a empty hotel....never again.
