This cozy Thai-Indian restaurant is conveniently located near the boat ferry ticket point at the far left end of Ao Nang Beach. The ambiance is simple, and the food ranges from average to good. While the butter chicken was a bit bland for my taste, the garlic naan stood out as excellent. The chicken biryani, though mild in spice, was well-prepared to suit a western palate.
The chef recommends several popular dishes, including chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan, and cheese naan. Pilau rice and jeera rice are also crowd favorites. For dessert, the mixed fruit with ice cream is worth trying.
The Thai menu offers classics such as pad Thai, fried rice, and vegetable spring rolls. They also provide set menus: a vegetarian option for 270 baht and a non-vegetarian one for 360 baht.
The staff are friendly and engaging, creating a welcoming atmosphere. For those who enjoy a drink, there’s a full bar with a happy hour running from 11 AM to 9 PM, offering cocktails and a good selection of wines. The restaurant is open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM, with prices falling in the mid-range category.
If you’re in Ao Nang and looking for a mix of Indian and Thai flavors, this spot is a decent option...

Read moreMy wife and I visited Zaika as we were in desperate need of something other than Thai food! As we both know our Indian food, we didn’t know what to expect, but relied on the good reviews on trip advisor.
As soon as we arrived the waiters were friendly and service was attentive. The food arrived fairly quickly (but not too quickly!) which was nice. We ordered masala papad, cheese naan, jeera rice, raita, paneer tawa and chicken sizzler. Everything was delicious and we were very impressed. We asked for it to be extra spicy which was perfect.
In terms of cost, the meal itself was fairly expensive as far as Thailand goes- but on the flip side the portion size was big. Had we known this we would have ordered less as we couldn’t finish what we ordered despite trying our best!
Would definitely recommend Zaika for delicious Indian...
